Ordered a shredded beef burrito with no beans and what I received was basically a rice burrito. Halfway through and only just finding tiny bits of meat—definitely not what I paid for.nnThe service, as usual, was lacklustre. No attention to detail, no care in preparation. This isn’t the first time, but it might be the last. Disappointed and hoping GYG Robina can lift their game.
I ordered a burrito and tacos and received another girls burrito.. drove all the way back to the store to get told all they could do is remake the burrito - no refund for the delivery fee or offer for compensation worth the delivery fee- not to mention the lack of apology for the inconvenience. I refused it all together and demanded a full refund. Nope. All I could do is submit a request online which they were reluctant to assist me with that too. I left “my” delivery in store with no refund and a chance customer service might sort me out…. Such a poor experience.nnEdit/reply to owner: I had a feeling you’d use the same generic response to one star reviews which is why I attached my screenshot of the submitted complaint initially. If that’s too difficult for you and your team to access, copy and paste my review for your own, low set, convenience.nnI still have not heard from GYGs complaint/experience forum so I reported it to PayPal, which I luckily used, and got my refund immediately. My partner and I won’t be spending with you lot anymore.
The food was actually very nice however the cleanliness of the place was terrible. Given we wanted to dine in we approached staff who were busy chatting to see if someone could wipe our table down. It basically had enough ingredients over it to make another nachos. Despite 2 requests to wipe the table down being ignored we decided to grab a few napkins to do it ourselves. It also leaves considerable doubt just how well the food preparation areas etc are maintained. On the upside, it's only a short walk from Robina hospital. We certainly won't be rushing back.
I had a really disappointing experience at Guzman y Gomez at Robina DT. I found piece of chicken in my meal, which I did not order. This is completely unacceptable, especially for people who are vegetarian. It raises serious concerns about their food handling and cross-contamination practices.nnTo make things worse, when I brought this up with the staff, they were extremely rude and unhelpful. Instead of apologizing or trying to fix the issue, they behaved unprofessionally and didn’t seem to care at all. This type of staff is totally worthless for business.nnThis experience has completely put me off from returning. Poor food quality and terrible customer service—I expected much better.
This restaurant needs to be reported for cleanliness. We normally do drive through but needed to use the toilet. Pretty sure festival toilets are cleaner than that. I then looked around and saw the built up grit all around the Dinning area… can only imagine what the state of the kitchen is. We got our food and my husband’s Cali burrito was cold and the guacamole in mine tasted fermented. Hope we don’t get food poisoning from this experience.
