Halal family Turkish food in Mentone. We went without pre-booking, but got a table for dinning, but pre-booking advisable, food was very delicious with nice hot breads.some vegetarian choice of dishes also available. Parking: Not enough parking spots on the front of restaurant but you can find some parking at on the side streets.
Guzel Istanbul Turkish Restaurant is a absolutely Beautiful little Family run and owned Turkish Restaurant with authentic and delicious food, I love this place, the staff work tirelessly to make their customers happy, I Highly Recommend checking out Guzel Istanbul Turkish Restaurant! ‍
Good restaurant and good value for money. Take away could do with some improvement though. Mixed grill for $25 was pretty average. Bread was cold and put in a plastic bag like you are in a bakery. The salad was plain and had no seasoning. Threw it out. Mixed grill was nice, but they stuffed it all in one small container and I had to dig through the rice to get the meat. Great place but needs to improve on how the take away menu is packed.
Excellent food. It's always amazing. However, the place has no atmosphere. No entertainment and no more belly dancers or even just music playing could barely hear the music. The venue is too quiet and and mundane. In addition, the 9pm closing time is way too early. People are just getting the party/dinner started before they have to leave promptly by 9pm.
Had take away for dinner, the food was good! Tried the mixed grill & adnan kebab. Adnan was flavoursome, lightly spiced and had big chillies served with it, which tasted quite fresh and refreshing rather than spicy. The mixed grill was alright too. The food had gotten cold due to the long journey back to home, so would definitely come back to dine in instead. If you try this restaurant make sure to get some dips on the side as the kebabs come with rice, salad & bread but no dips so can be quite dry. Overall, recommend to check it out.
Over-priced, food was in very less quantity, not fresh dips n bread, total rip off and extremely bad service. I think Kebab shops are 100% better than Istanbul Restaurant in Mentone where they are serving cold and un-cooked food.
Great food was the best meat I have had in ages. The young man serving us was bright and well mannered and will to have a bit of a joke with us, only thing was it was a bit cramped but very nice experience.Food: 5/5
Well priced restaurant. Especially the set menu. Bit heavy on the meat side of things. Great if that's your thing but my missus found it a bit heavyFood: 4/5
Been coming here for over 20 years, absolutely wonderful food. Whether its a take away Kebab or eating in set menu, It is always a fabulous cullinary experience.Food: 5/5
Warm bread, fresh dips and juicy, melt in your mouth shish kebab. What more could you want!
