I ordered a mixed variety of seafood cooked fresh. The fish was beautifully cooked just the right way. The chips were nicely cooked with a bit of crunch, just the way I like them. The staff are polite and friendly, and the owner seems to be very talkative and care about his customers. I would highly recommend to eat here if you are looking for fresh seafood or burgers. They have a wide range of seafood and burgers freshly made. Enjoy!!!
Very oily and average fish and chips. Burger was not good and burnt at the bottom had to throw most of it out.
This is the best fish and chips place I have been too by far in Sydney, the food as well as the customer service was incredible. As I walked in the staff was very welcoming and nice and the food was great! 5 stars!!
Great fish and chips as well as a large variety of other seafoods and sides available to customize your order or to prder a preset package to your liking. Always cooked to perfection and great quality food. The calamari will melt in your mouth. Crumbed grilled or battered.Food: 5/5
First time I buy grilled fish, chips and salad from here as my regular was closed on a sunday and this was the closest to me. Fish and chips were so dry, they were horrid to eat. Salad was average.
Ordered their BBQ platter for two through Ubereats. It clear states that 2x bbq fish fillets are included, and I only got one?! - looks like your reasoning is that ONE dish fillets cut in half makes two. Never again. Burnt food & bad chips.
I am from Melbourne all my friends said try this place , we are so Impressed with potato cakes you call Then scallops omg! 5/5 so delicious! Excellent customer service very clean will definitely be back and rec your business thank you
I have been going to Gus’s on and off for years only because it’s local. The last few time I went it was horrible. Battered fish was hard like it was old batter, chips were cooked in what seemed like dirty oil, grilled fish was overly salty and the bbq octopus was burnt. There is nothing worse that spending a decent amount of money, having the order missing food items and feeling physically sick after trying to digest. We literally threw away most of it as it was terrible. Once upon a time, it was mediocre. After the final experience, that will be the last time I go. Seriously one of the worst fish and chips around and anyone who rates Gus’s anything above 3star, don’t know what good fish and chips taste like.
Great food and even better customer service. I recommend the BBQ octopus and some of the best chips around. Local family fave.
The staff are so lovely, and the food is delicious. Definitely a place to go for a spectacular meal
