This place would do better with a reno. The manager is a man of great integrity and gave us a refund even though I said we'd take the dish home and my husband may eat it later. I just didn't like it at all. It was the spanner crab with tom yum sauce and wild rice and pineapple. It was too salty too spicy and I couldn't find any crab in it at all.
I’m not usually one to write reviews, let alone bad ones but this place no doubt deserves it after what I have seen. I’m writing this on behalf of someone that has stayed here recently and to say I am shocked by the amount of good reviews this place has is an understatement. To start off, the shared bathrooms were in appalling condition having seeing a broken window, showers with cockroaches in it, and toilets that looked like someone had freshly wiped manure all over the inside of the toilet bowlsome images attached for your viewing. Besides the toilets, upon arrival of their room they were greeted by a singular fridge sitting outside their door so of course it was opened but quickly regretted as it then filled their room with a stench of rotten milk. Besides all of that, if you are a person that books places for the view, I highly recommend this place because the beautiful view of the sunset out the tiny window makes you forget all about the unfortunate events happening insideimages attached once again
This pub was good. Great atmospherenBar staff were talkative and friendly. The locals are hospitalable and love a chat with someone new. Try the steak meal. 10/10
Lovely pub, stayed here 6 years ago and had a basic but good room and a bloody lovely feed.nWhich is why I went back.nThat was my mistake.nOrdered a 250 gram rump, medium rare.nReceive a 100 gram piece of meat that was still mooing.nI usually don’t eat the salad that comes with steak but I had to today as the meat nearly didn’t exist.nTo say it was “blue” would be an understatement. Whoever “cooked” it had no idea.nBar guy was excellent. The meal was rubbish. Waste of $30.
Outstanding, highly recommended in all respects. Overall, top-notch.nnNo noise from pub below. Accom and amenities are on-point. Private outdoor areas including balcony up-stairs are a very refreshing space to be in.nnConstructive criticism; accom price per/night could be $20 cheaper and stubbies of VB over the bar should be no more than $6.nnGunnedah Noodle Time across the road does a moorish delicious Combination Omelete Beef, Prawn, Pork, Vegies on Steamed Rice for $19 and was best I have ever had. The sauce it was served with made my knees weak.nnWell done Gunnedah, you are nailing it
