Beautiful Japanese restaurant. Hidden in the suburb of Gumdale. The food is amazing. Authentic Japanese dishes. Full of flavours. Absolutely delicious. The restaurant has comfortable seatings, modern decorations. Friendly and helpful staff. Gurume is very busy with lots of dine in customers and also takeaways even on a weekday night. Highly recommended. Definitely worth driving to Gumdale to try it! Will be back

As the restaurant name implies, very high quality food. Been here for 10+ times, quality of food has always been consistent. Food was healthy and delicious. Food presentation and plating was always colourful and pleasing. Customer service was great. Strongly recommended!Recommended dishes

We ordered the ramen and it absolutely hit the spot! Super duper tasty but would have loved the option of having it a bit more spicy and other add ons like extra egg or pork etc. The sashimi was presented beautifully and was very yummy but would have loved thicker slices even if that meant less slices. Someone else's review mentioned not getting soy sauce but you just have to ask! Overall, a very quaint but modern space with lovely staff and delicious food that can be found outside of the CBD. Definitely coming back!

Absolutely loved this place! The sushi was fresh and delicious. My husband and I were very pleased with the friendly service, amazing food and lovely jazz music. The BLACK DRAGON rolls were also the best I've had.  The HOMEMADE MISO SOUP was special as well. I highly recommend this restaurant:

Just ordered a Katsu Cury. "Cury". What am I Oliver twist asking for a spool ful of Cury or something.

We came to celebrate my nephew’s birthday after reading the 5 stars reviews but were disappointed. We ordered a total of nine dishes, including sashimi platters, caterpillar & black dragon rolls, okonomiyaki, tonkatsu, unagidon chicken karaage, soft shell karaage, a kids meal teriyaki chicken with rice. Food was average, sashimi lack of variety and freshness, the caterpillar roll was ok and the black dragon roll was tasty. The okonomiyaki felt like it was frozen factory item and just warmed up, definitely not freshly made. Both of the karaages were cooked well but the tonkatsu was dried like cardboard. The kids meal was ok but it didn’t come out until almost all our dishes had arrived. My son kept asking where is his food!!! Friendly staff but not attentive, we had  to ask for spoons for the rice dish, soy sauce for sashimi, top up water etc.

The freshest and highest Quality sushi in South-East Brisbane. Lovely staff and always great service. definitely a must if your in the area.

If you like Japanese food you must visit this place. Japanese food made by Japanese. Great sushi, ramen and unagi Don.

Gurume - which means gourmet in Japanese. I highly recommend this place. Freshest sushi I've ever had and tastiest rice bowls and filling ramen dishes. Very modern and classy place. Definitely worth it.  ᴗ
