Selected foods at a premium price. A fun place to shop frequently not regularly. Recent late afternoon visit: very poor customer distancing. I presume hurried housewives who think 0.5m suffices. No aisle controls. Problem: No staff control of distancing at all. Solution: It’ll be a while before I return.

I used to frequent this shop a few times a week. Recently I return to the area and went to Gum Tree to buy one or two of my favourite things. As I was moving through the shop, one of the staff, who was carrying a few things came towards me in a narrow part of the shop. I stepped back to allow her to pass, no acknowledgement, not a smile, nothing. I moved to the back of the shop and one of the owners emerged from the rear door. I smiled and said good morning. Again, not an acknowledgement, smile or even eye contact.  There are other places to spend money and at least get a smile. NEVER AGAIN will I enter Gum Tree in Middle Park. To be treated like that is inexcusable.

Awesome grocer in the Middle Park village. Fresh bread, meat, fruit & veggies, really friendly homely feel.

One of the highlights of living in the  Middle Park/Albert Park area! A specialty grocery store that stocks all we need and provides excellent customer service!

Just love our 2 gumtrees... middle park & albert park. Staff are mostly friendly & helpful, but they are always busy.  Variety of foods is excellent & quality excellent

Always nice and fresh produce! Very convenient food store, where one can find pretty much everything essential for basic to fine dining.

Watch out for price scams at Gum Tree! Footpath blackboard advertising "Today's Specials" offered two Shelly's pies for $9.00, but the cashier rang up the price tagged inside the shop, $9.00 each. Explanation: "That's old".  Not sure whether that meant old pies or old Today's Specials ... challenge did produce an agreement to honour the reduced price, but the dodge left a bad taste so no sale.

Friendly staff, nice bread, good quality veggies, free cheese tasting sometimes!

Great staff, amazing quality food and grocery items.
