My husband was tragically killed in march this year . He was looked after by Alison @guardian funeral care . I couldn’t have asked for him to be a nicer environment with the kindest lady . Alison . From day one the compassion and care . Love and respect for my late husband and my family has made this dreadful experience more bearable . She’s always at the end of the phone for me . Even now 7 weeks later and her partner Daniel did the most wonderful service for my husband too and he has also helped my son through this awful time . She and Daniel made us and my late husband feel like family and made the funeral day so much easier to cope with . I am so so glad I chose guardian funeral as I knew each day my husband was there he was truly looked after . I would even give Alison messages and she would sit and talk to him for me as I was unable to go so that gave me the comfort I needed . I will never ever forget the kindness and respect . Thankyou Alison and Daniel for everything.! I have found a friend for life in you . A true rare diamond you are !!
After the unexpected death of my Dad Harry young in January Guardian were there to offer there professional and affordable services, Then in February unfortunately my mum Carol Young sadly passed away. This time there was no stress in finding a funeral director. Again Alison and Daniel were reliable, professional, and showed so much genuine sympathy and gave so much support they really made it as personal as possible, from the personal songs we chose to the words that Daniel spoke and the way the chapel felt so homely,peaceful and was presented. Our daughter Ella felt really comfortable with Alison even though she was struggling with loosing both grandparents so quickly, Alison and Daniel were so good at reassuring Ella, and the rest of our family she told Ella to look at the sky at night and the first two star's she sees together they will be nanna and grandad. Alison gave Ella two tags for the memory tree and told Ella that, Nanna and grandad are now immortalised on the memory tree forever, which gave our daughter so much reassurance. Out of all this happening so quick the only good to come out of this is that we have made two good friends. There hugs and support and how they cared for my parents ment the world to me guardian kept my parents safe and comfortable and I would recommend them to anyone, it truly feels that we have known them forever. We couldn't believe that we would be using there services so soon, but as the first time, perfect, nothing more to say but thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
My father in law suddenly passed away in January, it took us all by shock, we were struggling to find a funeral director as we had never used one before. I do strongly feel that things happen for a reason with this in mind, I came across guardian. I can't really put into words how Alison and Daniel made the process as less stress full as they could. It was lovely to speak to Alison who went through all the options available to us. We was going to have a unattended funeral but Alison explained that she had a private Chapel which we could hold a private service in. She felt like one of the family and spent lots of time with us getting it right. Alison prepared my farther in law for viewing and my daughters exact words were he looks like he's asleep on the sofa and he looks happy I think she ment peace full. Daniel, what a gent and what a service he put together, tears and laughter. Again nothing was to much trouble.
Alison and Daniel did a wonderful job of looking after our mother . From our very first meeting Alison was loving and supportive, dealing with arranging a funeral in a dignified and professional manner. Daniel also being a pastor provided spiritual, emotional and counseling support to me in what was a very difficult time. The Chapel of Rest provided a calming and peaceful place to view our mother .Even though Guardian Funeral is a busy business , they still make time to see you and is more of a ministry to the people of Shipley than a Funeral Service.
If i could give 10 stars i would. After a traumatic experience with another directors, gaurdian came and saved the day. Alison is the most compassionate lovely lady i have ever met she gives the best hugs and at the hardest time in our lives she made it a little easier. She looked after my grandad like he was her own. Daniel delivered the service beautifully. As a family we cannot thank you all enough. Xxx
Absolutely what we wanted from a funeral director, we could not have wished for a better experience and we are so lucky to have found Alison and Daniel. Everything was conducted with love, humour and respect and we feel blessed to have met them. It was the best service and eulogy I've ever been to and Daniel worked so well to understand our Mother. Alison was extraordinarily caring and professional throughout. A great team, highly recommended!
Guardian recently managed my Dad's funeral. Alison, Daniel and Jane showed care, compassion and understanding to me and my Mum and we had re-assurance every step of the way that this was going to be a send off that Dad would have been proud of. It certainly was, my Mum even commented "it was the best funeral she's attended - and she's been to quite a few!". Alison, Jane and Daniel take pride in what they do and provide a caring service at an affordable rate. It's the personal touch you need at such a difficult time and we'll always regard them as our friends. The rest of the family commented they'd want to use Guardian too! Thank you x
Alison and Daniel are the most pleasant people I have met, they made my family and I very welcome and they treat you as though you are part of their family. Alison takes good care of you and more important Alison takes good care of your loved ones which for me is the most important part of their job. I personally recommend Alison and her team they are professional, compassionate and a true family business. Alison is with you every step of the way and they do not pressure you intro spending lots of money like some corporate funeral companies. What a wonderful, dignified send off Alison and Daniel gave my mother in law Marjorie.There weren't many at the funeral who had met her before, but when they left the cremataurium, they felt they had known her as a friend for ages. Alison and Daniels care of her while she was "in waiting" was sensitive and caring, as was their care of my husband and myself. I would recommend Guardian Funerals to anyone. I can guarantee that you and your loved ones will be in safe, sympathetic hands.
From the moment I picked up the phone , Alison has been wonderful. I felt so at ease straight away and I knew she would look after my mum , I also knew my mum would be happy that we had chosen Guardian Funerals to conduct my mum’s goodbye to us all. They made everything so easy , they were respectful and professional in everything they did. Daniel spent time to get to know everything about my mum and her life and he helped me write my own Eulogy to my mum to read out at the Funeral. The service was beautiful and all our family and guests were so impressed with the way it was all conducted, nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend Alison and Daniel to anyone who are wanting to organise a funeral for loved ones. I definitely want them to do mine. In fact I would go as far as to say if there was an award for the best funeral service in the world Guardian Funerals would win it hands down.
