Got the Ceaser Salad, it was interesting as the croutons weren't those hard dried pieces of bread, it was soft and fresh.nnOverall tasted good, but im disappointed in the chips. They wouldn't let me use my free chips coupon at the same time as the 2 for 1 Monday deal.nBecause of that, I had to pay $7 for a small cup of chips that weren't that great.. get much better chips and value at Schnitz!nnI wont be ordering chips from here again. I only come here for the 2 for 1 deal, otherwise the quality and prices are not worth it.
This grilles would have to be the worst of all grilled stores. I ordered my food with chips. Whilst they were making my food, they were spray cleaning product in the counter, and toxic cleaning spray could have easily have spray on the food, They have the cleaning bottle on the counter where they prepare their food. I spoke to the manager and asked if he would like cleaning liquid on your food, he said, “i have tasted degreaser” what a dumb thing to say to a customer? Also cockroaches were running around on the floor. Because it was a hot night, crickets were also walking on the floor through the open door. My food came 25 minutes later, missed my chips. I told the Manager, he said your didn’t get charged for this. Also the lights above meals area is dusty and full of dead bugs. Grilled Burwood is health risk, beware EAT at You Own RISK!
We came in with our 1 year old toddler to use the Bunday offer. We understand that this is a dine in offer hence we made the effort to take our toddler with us so we can both be there. However, when we arrived we were told there’s no high chair 1 was used by a family, the other 2 sitting empty with a man who’s with no other people or kids, got Merrybrown takeaway but no Grill’d order. I’ve asked politely to the man at the counter and the manager if we could have an exemption to have our order takeaway as we couldn’t have our meal pleasantly or safely without a high chair to keep our toddler. The staff was unwilling to help, either to accept the request or ask the man to let us use the empty high chair for 15 mins while we could quickly finish the meal.nnThey show 0 empathy for our situation and no care AT ALL. The guy said “no bundle offer for you, if you do takeaway, I’ll charge you for 2”.nWe are deeply disappointed, returned home empty stomach and feel awful for the attitude.
Not impressed by the food. It'd been some years since I had been to a Grill'd, and I had good memories. Only for the memories to fly out the window. From now on, if I'm after a burger, I'll go to any of the amazing speciality burger places that although slightly costlier, typically deliver a superior product. Or, alternatively, the local fish and chip shop!
As a long-time customer, to say I am disappointed in my takeaway order tonight would be an understatement. The meat in the burger was not only cold, but grossly overcooked to the point where it was chewy/rubbery, whilst the lettuce was dried out and not fresh. The chips were cold and soggy saturated in oil and curled over. The first time I haven’t ever finished Grill’d chips and had to toss them out. Sad to say I won’t be returning. I cannot express how disappointed I am, as I was raving about this same order I got exactly two weeks ago freshly cooked burger and chips to perfection. Perhaps because it was a busier night this time around; however, that should not compromise on quality. Safe to say I won’t be returning.
