We had a great experience at the Southern Hotel in Berry! Traveling with a toddler can be tricky, but this place is perfect for families. The pub food was fresh as & delicious. We had classic schnitty, salad & steak- and of course kids meal nuggies - drink & icecream absolutely loved the play area and the putt-putt pool golf. The drinks menu is simple yet spot-on with great local wines and beers. To top it all off, we grabbed one of their homemade pies to take home—easily the best decision of the day. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!
Just ordered their steak sandwich, hoping for a hearty and flavorful meal. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst steak sandwiches I’ve ever had. It was full of smashed beetroot and overloaded with caramelised onion, making it impossible to eat. The price wasn’t good either. Definitely not worth it.
Wow some of the best pies I’ve had! The chicken and the beef for my top two favoritesnnI love the mushy peas and the gravynnThey are a must try
The food was delicious moderately priced and cooked to perfection but the highlight for me was the blue vane cheese sauce with the wings wow ,the drinks 1 bourbon and coke and a jug of lemon lime bitters $21.nI did enjoy the posters on the wall car inspired
Not the greatest pub for a meal. Whilst the food was not too bad in flavour and the staff were helpful and friendly the actual environment was difficult to manage for a dining setting. Very loud and hard to talk with each other due to the acoustics of the place and the booth like seating was also difficult to manage with constant movement of our party of people every time a drink was to be ordered or a visit to the toilet or needing to order food.nnBy the looks of the other areas though this seems to be more a catch up for drink pub.
