Welcome to the largest lake in New Zealand. It is a caldera created by supervolcano eruption long ago. Beautiful, scenic lake, a little bit windy though.

Lake Taupo is one of the most popular tourist spots in North island. With Great Lake views, heaps water sports, goose and ducks, bars and restaurants. Overall Taupo is a nice place to escape from your north island people.

We love Taupō, great location for a pic, nice views.

Nice pictures to take specially at night when you can appreciate the lights

The sign has a nice view across the lake. It is also brightly coloured at night. The area is nice to look around.
