Nice atmosphere - well ventilated, good music that's not too loud. Suitable for couples as well as large groups. Fast and cheerful service. Beetroot fans will love the salad - it has a slight sharpness to it.
Attended without a booking and were comfortably accommodated in the bistro. Me and my wife both order the steak special and were very happy with the portion size of the steak which was fair for the price and amount of salad and chips to accompany it.
Our family went to the Grandview Hotel on Monday last minute after our walk in a nearby park. They were great to host us - my wife, my baby daughter, and my dog in the beer garden. The manager or owner even came to say hello!nnWe enjoyed Porterhouse and chips Monday special and two nice pints. While the steak was cooked exactly we ordered, the chips were the hero of the dish. We would be keen to come back and try other food on the menu.nnIt was a pleasant unplanned meal out. Ace food and service.
What the actual happened to this place? Used to be an awesome suburban pub. Seems a shell of its former self, particularly on a Saturday night. Beer garden closed and all the seats removed from the bar with tables only. Also, what’s with golf on the TVs and nothing else when there are local teams playing in the soccer. Seems like kids are now running the joint; probably wont rush back.
A great local pub with a really good selection of local brewers on tap. A good mix of old and new decor. The steak dinner was perfect. A must do venue
