This church is my family. The doctrine is sound. The pastor encourages us almost every single time to cross verify what he preaches from the bible. Love the expository preaching. My brothers and sisters are kind & God loving. They do well in thought, word & deed. I pray we all continue to grow in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ and our Father through the Holy Spirit. Amen
I've been attending for about 2 & 1/4 years now. The church promotes pretty sound teaching of doctrine. A balanced care for ministry of the Gospel and to others as its implied application. Appears to be pretty good at managing quality control issues which can sometimes be hard to come by in churches depending on where you look. Relatively diverse demographics. Would recommend giving it a go.
In general, very nice people but I was told by the head pastor that I couldn't attend the church anymore because an ex partner of mine unbeknownst to me happened to go there. So I left scratching my head at what the churches foundations were built on as there was an apparent lack of christian values in a community that claims to love Jesus. It came as no surprise to me that months later another friend of mine told me that she was also somewhat forced to search for a new church home.
Majority of members appear to be friendly and nice with a 'form of godliness but denying its power'. There is a sense of being lukewarm with the absence of the power of prayer, solid teaching and acknowledgement of the working of the Spirit. GCC is in its own bubble oblivious to the struggles and darkness of humanity. It is commendable for a vision of a city that loves Jesus, however if you can't care for each individual member at GCC more than yourself how can you care for the city of Melbourne? A suggestion would also be to appoint deacon and elders so that the decision making doesn't rest solely on the pastors in charge. Where a questionable decision is made without accountability inflicting hurt upon the individuals involved.
The name is very fitting, with the community there growing together in it grace, & in their understanding & recognition of need for & love for their gracious Saviour & each other.

Amazing church community that is on fire for Jesus. Sermons are great too, highly encouraging.
Its bible oriented and the community there strives to love like Jesus
Really did not like the atmosphere. Never coming here again.
