Their signature sandwich is wonderful. The secret is their toast which is just perfect with hard surface and soft inside. Even though the meal looks not too much, it is enough for normal person as a brunch. Mont Blanc is surprising me. At the top of the cream foam,they add a little bit of orange zest which makes coffee fresher.
Everything was spot on.nThe curry was incredibly flavourful and tasted like a dish that had been carefully perfected over time, the chef’s dedication and attention to detail really came through in every bite.nnWe also loved the drinks.nWe ordered the black sesame latte and the hojicha latte, and both were excellent.nRich, well-balanced flavours and beautifully prepared!!!!
A very clean, modern Japanese inspired cafe.nnThe Totoro latte and Hojicha latter were both excellent. Totoro latte was sesame flavoured, not too sweet and had a strong, nutty flavour. The Hojicha was earthy, and had a warm, roasted herbal aftertaste. The chicken karaage omurice had a slightly spicy curry sauce over it and the fried rice had a tomato flavour. The rice cooked was perfectly, great texture. The mushroom one had a very smooth, creamy sauce and was very comforting. The tamago sando was simple but very tasty, the fish roe gave a fun texture, and the eggs boiled to my liking, with the yolk still slightly runny.nnOverall a very wonderful experience, would love to try their other menu items.
Ate at Goya Cafe in Broadbeach the other day. It is always a super stylish Japanese cafe with really good food and drinks.nnExtra point here if you love a good sando or omurice. The mont blanc coffee is also quite good and definitely worth ordering. Parking in front of the cafe might be challenging, so check the streets behind it for more available spots. It is a very direct and solid choice for a nice coastal cafe run.
We thought the drinks and service were average, but the food definitely stood out. The egg sando stole the show The shokupan were soft and slightly chewy, and the mentaiko added an interesting texture to the dish. My friend on the other hand prefers the omurice. Both were delicious!nnWould love to come back and try other sandos if we get a chance.
