Visited twice in 2 months. Food is generally nice, though there were some elements I didn't love. Still a nice spot to visit though and I'll look to return when I'm down Broadbeach way again.nn* Kurobuta pork sando, $22 - thick cut kurobuta Black Pig pork katsu, shredded cabbag, served with mustard mayo and tonkatsu sauce in toasted shokupan breadn Nice flavours. Pork a bit fatty, and could cut sauce by at least ⅓. But thick and went well with the bread.nn* Fish katsu sando, $22 - fresh fish fillet with Japanese egg tartare sauce, iceberg lettuce, sliced cheese, in toasted shokupan breadn Everything works well. Better than the pork in some ways as you don't have chunks of fatty bits to deal with.nn* Karaage chicken omurice, $22 - special recipe karaage chicken served on top of a soft Japanese omelette, tomato and edamame fried rice, with house made curry sauce and topped with nori dried seaweedn Overall fairly good but not sure if we like the sauce, which isn't like your typically slightly sweet and very mild/non-spicy Japanese curry. This one had a bit of a delayed spice hit, almost peppery, plus a tinge of something a bit sour? I don't mind eating it despite this but my son would definitely complain that he doesn't like it. The omelette had sufficient fluff and the rice had added interest with the edamame. Karaage chicken was above average.nn* Hojicha latte large, $7n A tad sweet, but nice.nn* Matcha latte, $6 - slightly sweet matcha flavoured latte.n Description is accurate with the slightly sweet. We were happy with the thickness/amount of matcha.nn* Early bird juice, $8nnNOTESn* Scan QR code to order with mandatory surcharge, or you can order and pay cash at the counter.n* Service was friendly and food came out in good time 15-20 minutes
We are staying at Dorsett, and after our planned breakfast plan at Nineteen on Saturday morning was disrupted, we head across the road to find this little gem!nnWe ordered the Chicken Eggs Benny and Kinako French Toast, and both dishes were exceptionally executed.nnThis is going to be a must-visit the next time we're in Gold Coast!
I recently visited Goya, a Japanese-style café at Broad Beach. The atmosphere was cozy with a nice blend of traditional and modern decor.nnThe Breaky Sando was incredibly delicious, but the poached eggs in the salad were overcooked and not to my liking.nIt was a wonderful way to start my day.
I was in the Gold Coast this past week for work and conveniently, stayed in one of the apartment buildings next to Goya.nnVisited cafe over the last 3 days because I really wanted to try these 3 items on the menu - Karaage Omurice, Beef Cheek Omurice and Tamago Sando.nIced matcha latte was quite good too, I ordered drink without ice cream + cream.nnOmurice was very delicious, I personally preferred the Karaage omurice the most but they were all delicious! Service was also great. Thank you
Excellent food very friendly and quick service , welcoming staff. Enjoyed our experience: had matcha latte and egg Sando very good ! Beautiful decor so cute!
