The best thing for a cold and wet winter's day is good food and cosy conversation with a good old friend   Govinda Restaurant has very tasty, fresh, soothing food, prepared in the Sattvic way meaning pure essence. Sattvic foods are thought to be pure and balanced, offering feelings of calmness, happiness, and mental clarity  It's not overly spicy or salty or oily, just good food   We finished off the meal with some beautiful masala chai   There is a banquet hall for hire for weddings and parties    Attached to the restaurant is the Bhakti Centre, which is also a temple

Pure vegetarian food, a large variety of dishes to opt. Owner is in the business and provides good service. Comparatively large dining area, hygiene and clean. They also have a 300 person capacity hall to cater for weddings or any other functions.

The gentleman that served us was very helpful & made sure or meals were good. Servings were small so it's good to get a few dishes. The down side of having a few different curries is the price does add up. The place is very clean & would recommend to vegans and vegetarians as they have nice dishes & are -Vegetarian Society Approved-

Yummy 100%  vegetarian food. Very clean 'A' grade food certificate with plenty of parking. Friendly staff. Also the hall is available for hire. Visit the Hare Rama Hare Krishna Madir too. I think Uber food delivery is also an option. Must visit for Indian Authentic food in Auckland not too far from Sylvia Park in Mount Wellington.

Great vegetarian food and wonderful service. Very welcoming. Order at the counter. Takes EFTPOS and visa. Handwashing in the dining room. Free self service water.

Amazing vegetarian and vegan food and lovely service. All dishes were super tasty and we loved the kachori. Will definitely come back many more times to get through to whole menu

I ordered the standard meal with an extra roti and green chutney, the Sabjis Curries comes with 2 - I got were zucchini and potato, and chickpeas  Not too bad in terms of taste, however the sad thing which made me review 3/5 is the fact the rotis were stale  also the popadom was no good …  Come on guys, re heated rotis taste like cardboard

This is a must visit vegetarian restaurant for our family. Can’t say enough good words about the high quality of their food ingredients. Highly recommend it. We miss the food, and the wonderful cooks

Delicious food and great value, so much diversity on one meal plate - rotis, 2 curries, dhal, rice, chutney, dessert. Easy going, relaxed spot, kind people, thank you
