5 stars for being one of the few places on Rottnest to get dinner after 8PM. Kitchen closes 8.30PM most days, and 9PM on Saturdays. Mains are around $25-$30, quite large servings. Wood fired pizza was great! Steak sandwhich was pretty good, was great in toasted Turkish bread. Would not recommend the seafood marinara, there was very little seafood and disappointingly it wasn't fresh, tiny frozen prawns instead of the large juicy prawns like on the pizza. Overall would recommend!
This is by far the best place to eat on the island. The pub is normal, unlike the toffee nosed Quakka inn. Food is exceptional in taste and price.
Great ambiance with live music on some nights. One of the few places on Rottnest that are open till late. I had the buffalo wings with ranch and there was no buffalo sauce on the wings and were very bland, I literally had them with sriracha and tomato sauce, and the dipping sauce was definitely not ranch. The tiramisu was quite delicious. Good cocktails though.
great typical bar. great music and atmosphere. if it wasent more the bouncer staring at me the whole night it would have been a great experiance. also orderd the bucket of wing and loaded chips. chips where great but the wings had a very oily burnt taste to them.
Nice honest to goodness pub with good food and really nice and super friendly staff! Really nice to chill out here after touring around the island on a bike and getting some snorkeling in! Nice to sit, chill, have a beer and watch the footy with the locals!
I wasn't sure what to expect from this place when we first walked in, but it beat all of my expectations. Great food, cold local beers, and quick service.
Ive normally had a pretty reasonable time at Govs. The seating is not very child friendly, but the food and drinks were reasonable. The only real complaint i have is on the 27th of October 2020 i attended and won the trivia night and i was told i would be contacted about the winnings..... and it never happened. I have messaged on facebook and not a single reply. Its a bit disappointing because we had such a good night full of excitement at the anticipation of the prize and nothing followed. Seeing the responce i have had so far, i honestly dont expect anything to come from this, except to let other people know that if youre going for the trivia, dont expect to win anything if you win
Hey guys great food, I got the lamb lollipops when I was there on Sunday. Do me a solid and tell me what the salad was that came with it. Cause it was dope. For anyone reading the review solid reasonably priced food on rotto.
Pretty average pub food. Basically frozen deep fried prawns, weird pizzas, wife got sick overnight from the salad. Burgers proper basic and more bun than burger. Plus side was we easily got a table on a busy night.
Excellent bar, the staff are amazing and very quick. We had dinner here, the pizzas were yummy and the nachos huge, a bit to large to be honest but lovely. They show the footie nd had live music on the Friday night. Great crowd were in so heaps of fun. This bar might look a bit dodgey from the outside but it is anything but. Go and enjoy yourself.
