Played here today with my father. The course needs better maintenance, many potholes and soil was very hard. The greens were the best things today sometimes the speeds are quick some are slow. The course is quite interesting with some holes having steep elevations. Safety measures could be enhanced especially hole 11. We almost hit another group ahead of us because there was just no way to see the front group playing

For a council course, it’s always in pretty decent condition, and it has an interesting layout. However, I can’t rate it any more than two stars because of the _atrocious_ pace of play every time I’ve tried to play a round. I’ve got the time to write this review while I stand at hole 11 after >3 hours, with the group in front having a four hole gap in front of them. Sadly there’s never any “policing” of this problem, and it simply ruins the enjoyment.

The friendliest golf course on North shore… Well.. if you don’t expect any friendly staffs, Gordon golf course is pretty good for the price.

Tight tight fairways. Short and accurate is the name of the game.  Nice course but spoiled by 4 balls playing too. Slow, with a Big gap ahead of them.

OKish course, good for social play.  Narrow fairways test your driver accuracy and a high number of Par 3s.nnFairways and tees aren't very well maintained though and greens are a bit uneven.  Easy to lose balls if you go off course as the rough and near-rough are so thick.nnProshop staff are friendly and helpful.nnThe biggest plus is the cost: the cost of a round is quite reasonable and makes Gordon one of the cheapest 18-hole courses on the North Shore.nnClosing time listed on Google 7pm for club and 8pm for Proshop on Sundays appears to be inaccurate as everything, including the toilets, was closed when I finished at 6.15 pm.
