Not a user of their service but was walking past. One of the employees yelled at a child outside asking why they were crying quite aggressively, they then walked over to the child in a very demeaning matter and continued aggressively telling the poor child to ignore there feelings. As a new father I would not like this to happen to my child. Would advise going somewhere else than here if you can get a spot. There is clearly a reason they have vacancies. Time we drove past so management can look into this was between 6:30-7:00am 15 Jan.
Employee yelled at an innocent child that was crying quite aggressively. This child did not deserve to be treated this way and could have simply been sorted by gentle teaching and supporting. I was on my morning jog when I noticed this, it was a bigger lady whilst another employee was just standing there and watching. Poor kid. Was today between around 6:40ish.
My daughter has been attending Goodstart Early Learning Dawn Rd since she was 9 months old. Whilst initially there was moderate staff turnover, since the new director has been there, there has been consistent staff retention for last year. Jacqui the new director has been very accommodating and flexible at allowing me to change the day my daughter attends, often at late notice, due to my work requirements. The centre feels like a community, where everyone knows each other. The educators are amazing and friendly and I know my daughter is well looked after there. She loves it there so much that it often takes me half an hour to convince her its home time. The centre has clear communication via the weekly newsletter which informs of us the planned events and planned staff absences, so you always know in advance who the teachers will be. Delicious meals are provided for lunch, and morning/afternoon snack, which makes my job easier. I don't need to think about what to pack for my fussy eater. The meals have been great as it has encouraged my daughter to eat foods she wouldn't normally eat. The opening hours of 6am was really handy for our family a shift worker and a tradie. My only regret is that my daughter starts prep next week, and that I won't get to see this wonderful team anymore :
My daughter attended Goodstart Dawn Road from 2 years old until she started Prep this year & my 2 year old son has attended since he was 10 months old. We love this centre! The staff are so loving and friendly and I always knew that the kids would be loved and cared for like I would do myself. If there is ever an incident or injury, I have always received a phone call. My son had to attend for a month with a broken foot in a moon boot and the director Jacqui made sure they were aware of everything he couldn’t do.
This center is wonderful. The staff are friendly and kind, their passion and the connection they develop with the students lasts past the years they attend there. My daughter values her days and continues to learn new things and develop her important social skills. The centre is a great stepping stone to Prep and we are sad this stage is over, but we move forward with confidence in being prepared for the next stage of schooling thanks to Goodstart Dawn Rd. Thank you teachers and staff.
I was nervous about having my daughter in childcare but every single person at this Centre was so caring and nurturing of her and it made me feel so much better knowing she was in good hands. I love getting photo updates during the day. The centre is clean and tidy with a great outdoor play area and the kids all seem very happy there.
The staff here are absolutely amazing. The director is so motivated and genuinely interested in the children and their experience in the centre. They learn lots while having heaps of fun.
Both my daughters have attended Goodstart since they were 4 months old and there is no one else I would rather leave my children in the care of. Great centre, staff are more like family.
Lovely staff and fun, welcoming classrooms and play areas.
