Came in after an injured ankle whilst travelling and we found the woman at the emergency reception to be quite blunt with us. Was very unhelpful and almost brushed us off expecting us to go. It was only after she realised we were happy to pay the fees that she began showing an ounce of kindness. I understand a private hospital requires money from patients, but it takes nothing to be a kind person, it’s not like we wanted to be at the hospital. The doctors on the other hand were super accommodating, really informative and happy to help!
I recently had the privilege of receiving care at Noosa private emergency hospital and I am overwhelmed by the remarkable service provided by their staff. From the moment I walked through the doors, I knew I was in capable hands. I am delighted to share my experience and commend the exceptional hospital staff who went above and beyond to ensure my well-being. In conclusion, I cannot speak highly enough of the staff at Noosa hospital. Their exceptional care, compassion, and professionalism left a lasting impression on me. They treated me not only as a patient but as an individual, and for that, I am extremely grateful. I wholeheartedly recommend Noosa hospital to anyone in need of outstanding medical care. They have truly set the standard for excellence in healthcare, and their dedication to their patients is truly commendable. Thank you All.
Worst service in a hospital. My daughter fell over and hurt her arm, possibly broken. We got up early and traveled from Melbourne to Noosa and went straight to the hospital at 3pm, no one has walked in after us yet we still have not had an X-ray 6 hours later. We have been told we were next over the last several hours and now when we asked for an estimate and if we should come back tomorrow got told tonight is quiet and tomorrow we could be waiting 8 or more hours to be seen, this is ridiculous for a kid to be waiting that long on a supposed quiet night! Yet no one is in the waiting area here besides us. No pain medication offered. People who were here originally with us have come and gone and remarked that we are still in the same spot when they walk out the door.
My husand from start 11/4/23 at A&E to discharge from Ward D after 3 days, could not fault one thing. All staff from non medical, nurses, and doctors never showed any signs of being too busy to reassure or especially Dr Hawkins to talk and explain. The food also could not be faulted.
I saw a specialist there Dr Jorge Do Campo. Extremely unprofessional, immature and toxic doctor. I have left that place in tears several times as his treatment towards me was abhorrent. Yet, I kept returning as I thought he would improve. Yesterday he went as far as yelling at me for requesting a script he had given in the past and an increased dosage of it that matches evidence based practices in studies but he refused quite forcefully and demanded I stay on a non therapeutic dosage. Even though I pleaded that dosage was too low and not helping my condition. If you are somebody that has medical knowledge/medical background or has up to date knowledge about your own condition and the treatments for it, and want a say in your own treatment, this is not the doctor for you. This doctor will flip a switch and become abusive if you as so much suggest a treatment. He will also not provide any medical or scientific reasoning behind it when asked and make up a lie or yell "No I refuse". This doctor straight up refuses treatment to patients in need of care. He also does not know what he's even talking about in regard to treatments as he is not up to date with recent factual scientific medical studies and medication dosage recommendations. He is only there for money. Not caring nor compassionate in the slightest. Yelling at patients, absolutely disgusting behaviour for a doctor. I won't be returning and have put in a complaint. This doctor needs to be chapperoned and have his practices desperately reviewed.
Philip Gray presented to the emergency department of Noosa late afternoon Friday October 25th with a severe laceration to his left leg. Philip was seen to very quickly, and from the onset Philip and I Janil wife are so grateful to everybody in the emergency section.Dr Rose was very diligent, along with her support team. It was decided that Philip needed to go to Kawana for surgery.Everybody at Noosa made this transition for us as seamless as possible, and we were met at the University Hospital on arrival. Philip and I will be eternally grateful for the effort and compassion from all at Noosa emergency. Our thanks seems inadequate. Philip and Janil Gray
Noosa hospital is a lovely country relax style hospital always my choice and easy to find.
My wife was admitted early in the morning and staff were extremely attentive and accomodating. They also ensured when a scan was needed they managed to help organise a early scan to ensure our travel plans weren’t affected.
If you are on the Public waitlist, and are offered to go here to speed things up, DO NOT ACCEPT, just wait it out. You will NOT be treated fairly as a public patient in this private hospital. As well as this review, I will also be forwarding a formal complaint to Ramsay Health. 2 stars for the 2 or 3 nurses that were actually kind, and the anaesthetist that knocked me out for surgery.
This happened 2yrs ago and to this day I have never had a reply! Tuesday 10th November 2020 at 10pm I fell down stairs at my home and sustained a significant injury to my right foot. I was taken by ambulance to Noosa Hospital Emergency Centre. I was X-Rayed there, then given a pair of crutches and told to call my own taxi and go home as nothing was broken and to come back in the morning for a CT Scan. I'm 70 years old, I was in severe pain and shock. I couldn't handle a pair of crutches and fell backwards! The department actually called a taxi and expected me to go home! I'm the carer for my 91 yr old husband and couldn't go home as I had no key to get in with, no money to pay a taxi and no glasses to even see to call a taxi, nowhere to sleep as all our bedrooms are upstairs....and by then it was 1am! After stating this in tears...I was then allowed to stay in the area on a bed but not without being told that they really needed that bed for others who might be in need! For heavens sake...My CT scan next morning revealed that I had broken every bone in my right foot except for one...so....how on earth did the first x-ray not reveal this? And why was I treated so abysmally when I was in such desperate need? This is Gross Negligence! A recipe for PTSD! Having spent an uncomfortable night in the emergency bed and next morning it being discovered I was indeed injured to the point of multiple fractures I was admitted to a ward. Sadly I suffered a heart attack on the 20th November 2020...whilst still a patient in Noosa Hospital...and was rushed to the Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital where Dr Daljeet Gill inserted a stent into my coronary artery. When I was admitted to ward D at the Noosa Hospital on the 11th November 2020....my care there was excellent. I would appreciate a response from you at your earliest to know that my report has been read and that this kind of attitude and behaviour from the emergency department is amended ASAP. Cheryl Morton
