Good George North Wharf

It was alright I suppose for everyone. We took the team here for dinner before we did our tests. We got attended pretty well as it wasn't as busy. The live music and atmosphere is pretty good too. The food in my opinion I expected a lot more from, as this is a finely presented establishment. Looked class and expensive. Overall was worth the experience.

Good service, Waitors regularly check up on your table. Kind of noisy but nice and warm with all the heaters running inside making it a nice place to hangout in the winter nights. Food has a decent variety, definitely something to stand out from neighboring restaurants. Wheelchair accessibility: Available, mostly single floor level to the door but the toilets are up a flight of stairs.

First night in New Zealand asked for a recommendation of where to go for dinner from the hotel and the front desk pointed us down the street a couple blocks and said to try something there. We saw the vibe going on in Good George through the windows and thought we would try it. We were greated immediately and seated. The waiter was very helpful and friendly and was willing to put in slight alterations to both our meals to deal with dietary restrictions/alkergies we have. The food was amazing. I had the Pork and Prawn salad and my uncle had a burger and shared his fries with me. Great food and atmosphere and super friendly helpful staff, what more could you want on vacation!

Excellent place to chill on a Saturday. View was fantastic, food was great and not to mention their beer selection on tap! Cameron took care of us and was very good with his recommendations. We will definitely be back to try all the beer / alcohol selection! You will never leave thirsty!Food: 5/5

We had such a wonderful time here for our 11th year anniversary! I asked if we could get a window seat inside but with a view outside of the water as it was quite a cold evening and it was so kindly accommodated! The atmosphere was warm and inviting and for a Saturday night it was peaceful with just the right amount of ambience to it... the food was delicious and served so quickly to us, and the lovely lady who served us bought us shots on the house for our anniversary which was such a kind gesture! It made us feel very happy to know that our booking was actually read and someone had taken the time to do that for us... we will definitely be returning again, thank you so much! I didn't get our waiter's name, but i want her to know her service made our night that much better! she mentioned her own partner and their anniversary as well

Amazing food, great location, and good service. If I am in the Wynyard Quarter, this is my number one choice as long as there is a table available. The food is delicious and even the simple battered fries and fries chicken are delicious. If you are hungry, burgers are tasty as and quite filling. You can tell there are some people who just started working in the infustry here but the more experienced members of the staff almost make up for it. The last couple of times I visited our waiters made mistakes but at least they kept a good attitude and tried to fix them. The beer selection is great and even the alcohol-free beer tastes good. A+++ Totally recommended

** Nitro espresso martini on tap absolutely incredible** " a must try" Microbrewery with a different great food, excellent atmosphere and staff were really friendly and helpful. The location on the waterfront is absolutely stunningly beautiful. Definitely worthwhile a visitor

Had a great night with work colleagues, eating drinking and probably too merry. Great venue, fab staff and service. Hope they stay open longer in summer but for our visit thankfully it was the right time or things could have been a lot messier!Food: 5/5

Popped in this afternoon for a couple of beverages and some light snacks. Food was lovely, as were the drinks. View back over the water is nice too! Staff were even kind enough to let us crack our laptops and bust out a couple of emails.

Overall, a good experience from the perspective of drinks, food and atmosphere. However, they need to look carefully at their policy of retaining a credit card for the tab, until settling the bill. I was there on Friday evening and since then have had multiple fraudulant charges on my card. This was the only time my card was in not in my possession, so this is a bit of a coincidence.
