Stopped by here on our way to the 12 Apostles. The spices used in the curries and the biriyani were expertly used, making the curries fragrant and delicious. The onion bhaji was crispy and smelled amazing. The garlic naan was perfect to soak up the curries.nnService was fantastic and the owners were very friendly.nnOverall, we had a great meal here!
If you’re around here, don’t miss this Indian restaurant! The food is super fresh and delicious, made with love by a lovely Indian couple.nJust dig in and enjoy!
There are times when reviews, like GPS navigation can end you up in a ditch. This was a similar case.nnI don't understand the great reviews at all, as our personal experience was quite unsatisfactory.nnSalient features leading to poor satisfaction:nn1. The Dal Makhani was extremely salty. Upon reporting, it was mixed with generous amount of cream this is already quite a rich dish!. This was despite us requesting no addition cream or butter in our food.nn2. Almost all dishes except for the bread had copious amount of chili heat. I can handle heat but this was dialed up all the way to 12 on a scale of 10.nn3. General ambience and aesthetics of the place can be improved. Not asking for a marble floor, fancy stained glass or jewelry studded walls. Cleanliness and attention to detail goes a long way. Specific issues:nn- spider web on the wall.n- whole bunch of rice thrown around the floor that they never bothered to clean.n- glass surfaces haven't been cleaned in months appears that way.nnEtc. Etc.nnPresentation and attention to details matter. Especially when you command nearly $100 for a meal for two.nnIMHO, one can get more for their money elsewhere.
We stopped here while coming from 12 apostle to get some tea and snacks after seeing the reviews about this restaurant and regretted immediately after tasting the food. snacks are just so expensive and not even worth the amount you pay for it. Firstly onion bhaji was uncoocked as the batter was still liquidy inside, secondly papdi chaat felt like just sweet chutnet with potatoes and lastly samosa was just potatoes with salt. worst indian snacks i ever tried. and tea was more like water with less flavors. it was average!
Big spacious, clean Indian restaurant with a good selection of food options. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The food was really nice with good flavours, although on the pricier side.
