Story

Welcome to Golden Ridge Animal Farm

Golden Ridge Animal Farm is a fully family owned business that has been operated by the Nye family for over 26 years and run by Alisa Nye for the past 10 years. Golden Ridge has had many vast improvements and upgrades in the last 5 years and still more planned to make this an even greater place to visit.

Over the past 26 years we have gained a great deal of knowledge on both animals and children. We aim to provide a fun and educational experience for children and parents.

We have a large variety of friendly farm animals, most of which have been hand raised on the farm. We have every farm animal you can think of, ranging from small pet mice up to the big bull and everything in between. The children never forget the friendly animals and all of the hands on activities, these are just a few of the reasons that people keep coming back time and time again.

We can provide an enjoyable experience for all groups - be it a school group, birthday parties, play groups, pre schools, nursing homes, child care centres or just the family, we provide all hands on activities so you and the children will get the most out of your day on the farm.

There are two picnic areas on the farm so when lunch time comes up feel free to use these areas. There are gas barbeques available however there are no food outlets on the farm so don’t forget your picnic lunch.

We are located on the beautiful Hills District suburb of Dural which is a 45 minute drive from the Sydney CBD.

By visitng Golden Ridge you will be supporting a family run and owned farm one of the last in Sydney for people to visit We hope you enjoy your day at the farm.

Remember: Bookings are essential so please contact us to organise your day on the farm.

It was a great experience for the whole family. Great to keep little ones entertained, 100% would come again. All the animals were so tame and friendly. Very reasonable prices, easy online booking. We all had a ball.
We had the best time at Golden Ridge Animal Farm such a beautiful location. The animals are just adorable and the family that run the business are just lovely. So warm and welcoming, we will definitely be back
Highly recommend Golden Ridge Farm and their mobile petting zoo! My son had his 3rd birthday party and we organised for an hour mini petting zoo for the kids. The hour was plenty for the ages we had at the party. Georgie from Golden Ridge is amazing and really engaged not just the children but the adults in the experience. My son had a ball and loved that he could feed the baby animals. Thank you Golden Ridge Farm family.
I went with my partner to relax and it was great, you can stroll around at your own pace without an escort. The farm is very ethical and rescue animals and care for all their animals unless they can be sold to loving homes not just anyone . They do not sell animals for meat. I also liked to see friendly farm dogs roaming around, be cute if they had lil uniforms. In all it was actually pretty cheap, 25 bucks plus 5 for feed pp. This money is their main source of income to support the farm and the hundreds of animals that live there. I feel good about the money I spent as I know the animals are being loved and cared for with it. Good to unwind with animals when it is quiet, spent 2.5hrs there.
Cuddle cute baby animals, ride a pony, and be with many typical farm animals. A lovely small farm with very friendly people that's sure to get kids running around
I would say this is a decent animal park but it is expensive for what's available. $30 entry for each adult AND child and there's chickens, goats and sheep. We were basically done in 30mins. There are some excellent excavators / diggers / cranes that children can operate which is a major bonus but they are $5 for 3 mins I guess the mins. Feed bags are another $5 each, pony rides $5 each, after a while it was just like, what's actually included? The best included activity was the holding baby animals I much preferred Calmsley Hill City Farm or Sydney zoo as there was more variety to keep the kids attention going. The staff were friendly and helpful, the transaction area was a little busy but never had to wait more than 1 min. It's location put at Dural is obviously more convenient for the Northwest, but most of the animal farms in Sydney are a 40min drive. There's a cafe truck outside. I haven't tried all the animal parks in Sydney, so I'd be inclined to try them. Of the parks I have tried, Symbio, calmsley hill City farm, Taronga and featherdale were my best. Haven't been to Sydney reptile park.
Visited Golden Ridge Animal Farm on a weekday morning for the second time now. Not too crowded which was nice. My daughter and her friends aged between 2yrs and 4 yrs had a blast! They didn’t want to leave. Not an incredibly large farm so you should be able to get through it within 1.5 hrs to 2 hours easy. Staff were lovely, farm was clean, good selection of animals and loved that we could have a cuddle with some baby chicks, ducklings and a guinea pig. Definitely recommend purchasing a bucket of feed at the entrance as you enter. The kids found feeding the goats pretty fun. Parking was really good too and there’s a clean toilet onsite. Recommend visiting if your looking for something a little different to do.
It was a fun place to be with a two year old. There were few animals in the shed like cow for milking, lambs and sheep's to pat and feed. 15 mins session to pat and play with Ginny pig, a couple of chicks & ducklings and a rabbit. An extra charge for a pony ride and a feeding bucket for goats , sheep's and llama. Overall it was a small farm so it wasn't tiring with a toddler.
We took our 2 year old here during the school holidays. She enjoyed the experience. The animals are friendly and the baby petting area is definitely a highlight. Staff are friendly and COVID guidelines are being followed. Moderately priced and an overall enjoyable day out.
Went to Golden Ridge Farm for the Easter Egg Hunt & Farm Visit. We had a really brilliant time! It was all so well organised, the egg hunt had plenty of eggs for the kids to find and they won a show bag at the end with fun goodies. The kids could interact with all the animals - touch them, feed them and hold them. There’s a kiosk on site for coffees and light lunch. Great day out!
