Came here for yumcha and quite happy with the quality of food. The dishes are cooked and seasoned nicely. The rice paper prawn is a little disappointing due to lack of its sauce. Pretty similar to what you'll get at their parent restaurant - Secret Kitchen. Will definitely come back again to try their duck dish. Food - 8 Service - 8 Vibe - 7 Price - $$
the dim sum was delicious especially the durians puffs and pudding. Sea cucumber bun was something interesting, the skin was so light and fluffy, however would've been better if it was thinner as the proportion of bun to fillings was a bit over, taste wise it was a nice combination of savoury w sweet bun. the beef ribs were tender and rich in flavour, however a tad too salty for my taste. Prawn rice rolls were nice and thin w generous size prawns. Staffs were all very nice and friendly, overall experience was good. Overall we spent $76 for two person.
Of course it would be good because it’s called the Golden Duck. The food was good and the service was great. Staff were helpful even though it was a busy period. Other meals I could see at other tables looked great and I will return to explore more. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Heaps of parking here at Eastland. Takeaway is available.
Golden Duck manages to strike a balance between tradition and modern flavours. Standard yumcha offerings are available on trolleys, something you don't see much anymore, sadly. But if you're hungering for a something new and exotic, do try their fusion yumcha. You won't regret it. Har Gao with truffle? Sure why not.
A good solid Dim Sum and Duck place, nice variety of Dim Sum, all very tasty, quick and efficient service. Often busy so pays to book.
There was a hair in one of the dishes. I wouldn't come here again. It was expensive for the quality. Spent $195 for 7 people. Would have been better without the hair and the pushy staff.
I went here with my partner when they wernt busy. Seated fast with good service. Prices are too much for what you get. Could get the same quality food and service at other places. Biggest issue was, one of our dishes came out with lots of hair in it. Not pleasant. The waiter offered us dessert in compensation, which doesn't really make up for the chefs dropping hair in your food... Also there is a surcharge for any type of card you use, which isn't mentioned until you get your recipt which will be more than you expected. Cashier takes your card out your hand and quickly does pay pass even if you didn't want to, or wanted to pay a different account. Wouldn't go back
A decent Chinese restaurant in the Town Square at Eastland. The dishes are good; we particularly liked the lettuce cup and Peking Duck. Some of the other dishes were slightly too salty for my taste but not too bad. Prices are a little high but OK. We spent $150 for dinner with two adults and three children. We might come back to try their Yum Cha.
Very poor service, average food and very overpriced. Booked for 6 people- didn't have our table ready. Took them 30 minutes to take our drink order- didn't have half of the wines on their list. By this time 2 other tables had walked out due to poor service. Finally took our food orders where we requested the duck includes dumplings to share as an entree. They brought out the duck and all our mains at the same time which was a very uncomfortable experience on a small table as we had no room left. They got most our mains wrong- one of my group ordered chicken but they brought out tough shrimp we think as we couldn't even tell what it was. Brought out our steamed rice when we were almost finished our mains. Forgot about our dumplings that were meant to come with our entree. Staff couldn't care less. SAVE YOURSELF AND DO NOT GO!!!
This restaurant doesn’t accept multiple entertainment vouchers different with what they said on call when we make book. I will think this is kind of misleading on offer. They just want to attract you to go there for dining rather honestly offer you what they promoted on entertainment book. Their cashier had even taken our 2 vouchers then gave us 1 voucher discount. She is definitely extreme doggie mind. I went TGIF Friday last Monday for dining, they were more than happy to let us use 3 vouchers. What a different between honest and dishonest offer. We will never come again! Good luck with your management.
