The average looks aren't everything, but unfortunately, the unique taste of the burger on top of them wasn't enough to justify the hit my wallet took, in my opinion.  $10 for this burger, as good as it is, seems like too much to me, especially with McDonald's and Burger King on the same street.  I'll save this place for casual special occasions rather than let it be a regular stop for me. I should mention, though - these were the best shoestring fries I've had in recent memory.  Those are worth the $4.  The burger, I'm not so sure about.

Awesome customer service! The burgers are delicious and everything I expected. I got mine with pastrami and it was super delicious.  I got both fries styles and both are good but I did like the curly fries more. Can go wrong with the food and the service but the reason I'm not giving it five star is due to the price. That being said, they need to get better napkins because the current one's are horrible.  I would still recommend it but just get extra napkins.  Kid-friendliness: They have a kids burger which my kids love and it&#39;s bigger than I expected.  Next time I&#39;m getting only one for both of them.

It's official Goldburger is as good as gold!  The LA Special burger with Pastrami was juicy and flavorful throughout and the Fries were perfectly hot and crispy in a generous portion. Nearly perfect, burger and fries were amazing, parking is curbside so not much and it’s a tiny hole in the wall. Burger was however quite greasy, dripping in oil which wasn’t pleasant. But overall would go again and enjoyed it

Great smashed style burger! My husband ordered the patty melt and I chose the Goldburger. We were happy with both. Goldburger has two crispy, delicious patties, lots of cheese and onion goodness. The fries were a tad less than fresh - nothing to write home about. BUT! All in all an interesting and tasty take on classic burgers! If that is what you're looking for you won't be disappointed. :

Easy to find. Parking up front or in the neighborhood. There is a seating area right next door. You can dine in or take it to go. They have a pretty quick turnaround. I got the original Golden Burger, which I suggest for your first visit. I also got the regular fries and the pecan pie, yum! The burger was well cooked and the cheese was melted just right. It was not runny or greasy. The sauce, which is a garlic aioli was bomb! They also serve it with the fries an an option. The fries were really good. I actually still had some fries about two hours later, as I filled up on the burger and pie, and they held up pretty well. Not soggy or super soft. That is a sign of a good fry. The pie was not overwhelming sweet, it was just right. The crust was thick but soft. A beautiful combination. Will definitely be back. Want to try the LA Special next time round.

Tiny counter serve place for delicious and filling smash burgers. The fried are pretty good too, especially with the amazing aoili on the side. Worth a visit for sure! Easy to find street parking nearby.

Super cool burger joint! The LA Special comes with juicy pastrami and a djionaise slaw that absolutely slaps. Curly fries were well seasoned and uniformly crispy. Reasonable prices and great service

One of the best burgers in LA. Lot of smash burgers in LA now but not a lot know how to do it properly like these guys do. Crispy edges but still juicy burger .. their curly fries were good too!

The pie is worthy of a drive and visit. I had the walnut pear pie. The filling was a good mix of fruit and nuts and The crumbly top was yummy and sweet. The edge crust was attractive but very substantial which meant I left it behind.  The gold burger has that fun smash burger thing going for it but the bun doesn't hold up to the messiness. The California burger holds together alright but in both cases the burgers didn't feel particularly premium. The service was spot on, friendly and fast. The vibe is cool converted garage.
