Pork belly, mushroom and cheese pie was one of the best pies ive had. Full stop. Excellent quality fillings and pastry. Sweet lamb curry was also fantastic. Even if you didn't like pies they have plenty of other options, the chips were banging as well. Fully recommend this place, I won't stop going on about how NZ pies are better than the UK after these.
Had the peppered steak - delicious! Tasty, flaky pastry that was buttery yet light. Proper steak chunks. Best pie I’ve had in NZ yet!
I have only ever bought pies or sausage rolls and have always found them to be full of really nice flavours of pastry & fillings. Great selection of food to choose from overall. However due to their busy popularity they really need to find a bigger premises as access is very congested around lunchtime. Steve Franklin Rotorua
Best pies in NZ hands down. The range of flavours available makes it hard to decide what to get as they all sound delicious. Went with the Garlic Prawn pie which I was curious about, and it was the best I've had. Absolutely amazing pastry and flavour.
The pies here truly are something else. Our guests from the UK loved them. The mince and cheese is amazing, not too sloppy, but still plenty of juiciness. Good amount of cheese.

Wow. Pork and mushroom was like Palate/Hamilton or Momofuko/NY - this pie is somewhere else. The mice and cheese took me back to the tuck shop days. Freaky, good, Auckland and florida store, take my money please.
Just come from Patrick's. My pie was cold, chicken kebabs hard as rock, curry roll hard as rock, cream bun was stale. What happen to the value of the bakers? Bad review never going back there again, their standards have dropped dramatically.
I'd have to say some of the best pies I've had in my time on this earth they have great variety of pies and the pastry is soft and flakey I definitely recommend this place and it's other locations as well
It amazing the difference between your average pie and one of these. Had the steak and cheese and steak and onion. Steak and onion seems like such an obvious combo that more people should do but Patrick's is so perfect. The gravy is such good quality that it even has bits of meat which shows they really make it.
