Moderately priced yum cha with good service. Classic busy and noisy and full of Asians. A bit tough to get in on weekends so u should make reservation. Easy with their app. Better service than usual, try their Shark Finn dumplings.. wonderful.. better than normal. I had to eat 3 servings. Couldn't stop.Food: 5/5
Loved our Yum cha experience. Although the place seemed a bit understaffed but the food definitely made up for it. Dumplings and custard buns were absolute winners, although not a huge fan of their mango pudding, was pretty average.
Gold Leaf Dockland is a large dim sum restaurant located in the shopping centre. The restaurant is beautifully decorated in traditional Chinese style and has classic carts. The shop is wide, comfortable to sit, considered to be one of the favorite dim sum. There are hundreds of menus to choose from.The ingredients are quite good. The price may be a little high. The service is ok, not very good.
Food taste great, pork ribs, har gow, salted egg lava bun are recommended! However, the plates/food trolleys are not very clean. We always love coming to Rustique Restaurant. You can't go wrong with the service and food. Today my friends and I had the catch of the day which is barrumandi and the salmon. We selected the Tiramisu and sticky date pudding for dessert. The 3 of us were very happy with our selections. Happy tummy....happy life.
Gold Leaf Docklands has always been one of my favourite yum cha spots. The quality of the food has always been consistently high and I’ve loved the variety of dim sums and hot mains and desserts too, surprisingly they have on offer. This branch is also much better than the Burwood’s one.
Top service and quality food. All the young waitstaff were very attentive and friendly. Not illustrated in the image below but we ordered second rounds of the spring rolls and deep fried calamari cause it was that good !
This was the first and will be my last time to ever come here. I don't understand how people give good reviews. When we got food to our table from the trolley It was lukewarm/cold. The price for the food here is OVERPRICED! 22 dollars for fried rice that was tasteless and small portions. The calamari was cold! They even charge you nearly 7 dollars just for Chinese tea which taste like every other tea when you go to a Asian restaurant except others don't charge you. Here is a bill of our food tonight. We all left still hungry and wished we had gone somewhere else for our lunch as a family. Even when we left they staff don't say thank you or goodbye. Seems that this place need alot of improvement if you want to keep your customers from coming back.
Docklands Gold Leaf is our usual Yum Cha spot. Very good selection of dim sum and some great special dishes such as the fried white bait. Good service and clean dining room. Yum cha is best in big groups!
Absolutely wonderful dim sum experience. It is a little costly BUT we mostly had prawn dishes which do add to the bill and they were great. The food was absolutely lovely. There was a great variety of food available. Also I do recommend people try the silken tofu with ginger syrup. It's AMAZING Service was fantastic shout out to Ann. My partner kept complimenting how lovely and friendly you were and I agreed.
