Thanks 60 dollars per person set. We got a dry-microwaved duck roll,a middle raw prawns pie, and egg shell in our fried rice. And when we told to the waiter about the egg shells. We’d been told “eat slowly and carefully.“ Not even apologized about it. Very great service man.
Went on a busy Sunday afternoon around 1pm without any booking and we got seated immediately. To my surprise, this place has reallllly good service unlike most of the yumcha places. The aunties who push the carts were super friendly and helpful, some of them even joked with us which was extremely surprising. Apart from the excellent service, the food was great too! All dishes were fresh, steaming hot and portions were great too. My favourites are the siumai, pork dumplings, pork trotter, chee cheong fun and fried salted dumpling! Would definitely come back for their other dishes I can’t wait.
I would say 3.5 stars. Despite the luxurious decors, nothing is special here. The food was just okay and pretty much average. The fried rice was the best dish. Pipi with xo sauce was sadly bland.
First yum cha after a long long lockdown in Melbourne and this place didn't disappoint. Great crowd control, stringent check in process, delicious food and good service. The dumplings are massive and price reasonable.
I prefer to have dinner here as it wasn't as crowded as yumcha time. The service was also better as they weren't in a rush like during yumcha session. The foods are also very delicious and tasty during dinner time.
Over all it was good experience, we had yum cha on Sunday, lots of option to choose from, fairly busy. Only one thing, there is one girl never stop by our table with her trolley…
Food is on the average side but staff are very attentive. Like that they are still serving dim sum the old way, aka having dim sum carts driving around. Portion size is pretty generous but the dim sum style and seasoning are a bit old fashioned.Food: 3/5
After 20 minutes, only one cart was pushed pass us. When we tried to order food directly to the table, the waiter said yes but no food ever came out. It’s only after i escalated it to the manager, some carts were pushed pass us. However, there’s limited option and by the time the cart come to us, there’s hardly any food left. I really want to leave but my guest didn’t want to cause trouble. I seriously can’t believe I paid $110 for two people for the worse yum cha of my life. Highly recommend going to other gold leaf restaurants, the services are way better at dockland, burwood and springvale.
Best yum cha on this side of town! Another hidden gem next to the Preston Market. Fantastic atmosphere, fabulous service & delicious food! I have missed egg custard tarts & ham sui gok footballs!!!
Been around 9 years since I dined in and nothing has changed. Some dishes still lukewarm and borderline cold and service is average at times. Taste was there but it's very average compared to Sunshine and Docklands Gold leaf branches.
