Wish I could mark it lower than 1 star! If your kid isn’t the smartest kid, they’ll encourage you to send them to VLC VLC were dumbfounded on why their school was recommended and instead gave me the correct information on getting my daughter into a trade tafe on behalf of Miami who didn’t know what they were doing with regards to trades and still attending school. They tell the kids they don’t need them there come year 10 if they aren’t high achievers even when kids doing a trade and ATAR are guarantee an 80 but somehow Miami doesn’t support that. The head of science department showed my daughter tests for year 11 saying they are hard so she should drop physics next year instead of taking up a valuable spot for one of their more academic kids. What ever happened to encouraging, nurturing and supporting our kids? Very grateful I could get all 4 of my kids into a private school at the last minute to get them out of Miami. It even meant the new school is supporting our eldest in doing ATAR instead of Miami who encouraged our daughter to drop ATAR subjects instead.
absolutely loved it here. unfortunately i had to move to thailand. everyone is so kind and caring and the teachers are just amazing.
Miami High School is perhaps the best school our children have attended. The grounds are gorgeous, the location is spectacular and the teachers/admin staff are compassionate and accommodating. Students are treated with kindness and respect and their wellbeing is of upmost importance. An inclusive and supportive environment. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Miami.
We have three children at MSHS and one starting next year. The teachers and administration at this school are second to none. Their communication, care and empathy has been very much appreciated during some challenging times with our three older children. I can not speak highly enough of the Principal, Sue Dalton, for leading such a nurturing school.
I got a milk bottle thrown at me from the top of "I" Block, it was filled with soil and rocks and exploded on impact hitting 3 kids including me, ngl was pretty funny
Where do I start, I recently had the displeasure of dealing with both principal & deputy principal of the school regarding a matter of importance, the way its been handled is a joke both personally to my family and myself, I have been lied to , mislead, and kept in the dark over the whole matter , regardless of the atrocious way ive been treated , total lack of transparency and the contempt shown by above mentioned il will not be silenced ! I was asked to leave school as I began to get angry after being treated like a person who has know rights , as long as I have a child at this school I HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW ! I'm 100% certain that if other parents who are in my position knew what ive gone through i would have plenty of support ! I'm a dad who cares, works hard and will do anything for my kids , had a gutfull of people who can hide behind the doors with their own set of rules ! Those people make me sick !
It's an amazing school the teaches and students are really friendly and they show the sights of respect love claytooo xx
