I was admitted to Gold Coast Hospital recently for what turned out to be a streptococcal B infection in my left leg. I cannot speak highly enough of the thoroughness and care I received during my time there. The doctors and nurses went out of their way to make sure I was well cared for and comfortable. I had a number of tests not only to confirm the diagnosis but to also check there were no clots etc in my leg. This was an absolute credit to all the staff there!
My sister was rushed to hospital by ambulance, and then placed in a waiting room for 7 hours! No pain relief, no blood tests or anything, she was very much in critical condition! She decided to go and ask the counter staff what was happening and the person behind counter said the ambulance staff had forgotten to fill out the forms! Finally she got seen and had to be taken to surgery straight away!! This is absolutely disgusting service and we will be taking this further.
This is a fantastic hospital. The grounds and garden space made available for the Art Beats Day was fantastic. There were also Art Beats works inside in the huge foyer space. This is conveniently situated near the food court. Everything at this Hospital was easily accessible which I'm sure, is deeply appreciated by the people using it for their health needs and well-being.nArt Beats is in October every year for Mental Health. I will be putting into my diary for next year.
