Brought back memories, said hello to Alex after 12 more years. Just haven't had chance. Fresh and delicious. Nothing left, friendly customer service They oy do take away. Understanding why they do it.
Just awful. Hot sour soup tasted like stock thickened with corn starch with a bit of lemon juice thrown in and looked like dishwater. Just woeful. Mixed entree was an overcooked greasy mess. Sweet and sour chicken was possibly the worst Chinese dish my wife or I have ever tried. A thin soupy sauce which was indistinguishable from the juice from tinned pineapple. Sickly sweetness was all we could taste. Fried rice was ok, but no more. It just seemed like Steamed rice with a small amount of veges tossed through. It was difficult to see if it had actually been fried. Steamed duck in mushroom was at least edible, but bland and dull. All restaurants have the occasional bad day, but this food was just awful. This wasn't a bad day, this is just poor food poorly cooked.
It pains me to give a bad review but this was honestly the worst Chinese we've ever eaten. We paid $65 for family pack with 2 extra entrees and unfortunately not even 1 item was nice. My family was so disappointed with the entire meal. The Chicken and Cashew went into the bin - insipid bland mess. Sweet and sour pork was at least edible but not overly enjoyable with watery tasteless sauce. Only thing worse than the food was the "20 mins" which was well over an hour delivery time and the multiple calls to reconfirm incorrect order information new staff member was reason given and my follow up call to see if our order was actually arriving tonight. Think my son's comment "should have got pizza" sums it up.
food was good and service was okay besides one worker. I went to order food and she just kept telling me she was thin and that im disgusting for ordering meat. please rethink your workers.
Ordered the $44 family special - chicken and cashew overcooked as we're spring rolls, sweet and sour pork batter was mushy. Food didn't taste fresh. Really disappointed.
This has got to be the worst chinese food on the planet I asked for rice to be well fried then I ordered king prawns with cashews Well the rice was like boiled glue the prawns were the size of shimps with no taste my partner had sweet and sour horrible $50 don't go here
Staff were very pleasant. Food was bland and tasteless. No flavours at all!
Great little resraurant. The crispy duck in plum sauce is my pick. Pleasant service.
I have been to the 'Gold City Restaurant find the food and staff service is exellent. I would not hestitate to recommend, food is very fresh
All dishes were like soup, and loaded up with vegetables, not real good
