Asked for a medium rare steak the picture posted is blue. Manager came out reckons that’s just rare. Says he couldn’t give me a refund. After three other people had tried. Apparently only the owner can and he wasn’t there. Consumer law says if not fit for purpose must be exchange or refund. I’ve eaten there once before and the steak was good but the veggies were lean on. The veggies were cooked in this case the same way as the steak. Potatoes were hard. The broccoli was barely steamed. In the car it’s boring plain and pretty much almost steamed. It’s pretty poor form and they say they can’t do a refund. When what they really mean is they won’t. As I said previously my second time eating here. Thought I’d give them a chance because the customer service was quite good. This time saw two of the same staff that I saw the first time customer service was not so warm and welcoming to try and fix the problem. Are satisfied customer seldom leaves reviews on Google.
Fast service. Meals were brought out quickly, it was almost kitchen close so we were pretty lucky to get dinner. Much appreciated and the meals were pretty good. 2 x parmies, 1 x barra, 1 x garlic prawns and 1 x surf n turf were ordered. Only real complaints were the chips, they were coldish and not crisp. Can't argue with that though. Service was good. All up 8.5/10
One of your bar staff was most arragent person I've ever come across don't know his name but the rest of the staff were awesome and I'm sure they know who I'm talking about
Great location, good choice of beers but the food let the place down. Ordered a few items, nothing was better than OK.Food: 3/5
The Gol Gol hotel needs better staff who are friendly and inviting. We rang through to book a table for 8 and they said no need to book just walk in, which we did only to be confronted by rude staff who informed us we couldn’t eat there, even though there were plenty of tables. Very disappointing and totally upsetting.
Fantastic for a beer with friends in one of these sunny days. We were in the outdoor area. The place is large and the outside was quiet, also ideal for private functions.
We went here for dinner both nights we were in Mildura. The meals were excellent. My husband loved their special chicken dish , hasn’t stopped raving about it. Both of my meals were very good. Large servings and terrific salad - included tomato , cucumber , onions , carrot etc. ALL the things that are currently missing in VIC pub meals.
Let's bring honest, it's s bistro with pokies. We booked a table which was in the outdoor but covered section. Just happened to co-inside with the country music festival which was a place. The staff when found where good. But you join a line and place an order. The food arrived quickly and wad quite good across the board. The kids had the Chinese Chow mini dim sims and spring rolls with chips and salad, the duck spring roles where tasty as the was the beef schnitzel and the barramundi. Lovely pub.
