The most delicious meal! We tried all the cheese wheel pastas and the ragu and everything was delicious. The pasta was so fresh and the portion sizes were perfect, didn’t leave us in a food comma, just happily full. The broccoli side cut through the creaminess perfectly. The street is so pretty that the outdoor seating was a lovely place to be. Such a perfect meal, couldn’t recommend more highly.
This review is based on Godi’s bottomless brunch and I can tell you that our glasses were never empty for the two hours that we wine and dined. Friendly service, lovely venue and of course free flowing drinks. We loved the charcuterie board the most and would have preferred to keep grazing rather than selecting a pasta and then dessert. Nevertheless, you’re not going to walk away from here feeling like you haven’t had enough to eat nor drink
We recently attended for an anniversary celebration. It was a Friday night, very busy and a fantastic vibe. The service was friendly and efficient despite being extremely busy. Food was excellent. We shared a couple of Mezze plates together. These were beautifully presented and excellent quality. They were appropriately modest portions – particularly given that the main courses were such generous portions and the food so rich. This means that the “meal experience” was well designed, allowing you to progress through the meal … and feel well satisfied by the end.nnThe wine list was not extensive but excellent. Many very good wines available by the glass.nnProbably the highlight of the visit was being able to meet chef Federico Godi and to watch him prepare the famous cheese wheel pasta. This was a combination of food and theatre … but not just for theatre’s sake. The way chef Federico utilises the cheese wheel means that the pasta is coated with a sweet caramelised cheese which was outstanding! You must try “The Godi Flame” experience.
Tried their Curly Fettuccine Pasta, finished in a Parmesan cheese wheel and served with Italian sausage.nnThe dish delivered a rich and creamy profile that was enjoyable from the first bite. The ingredients worked harmoniously together, with the field mushrooms adding a pleasant earthy depth that stood out nicely against the sauce.nnHowever, the portion size felt underwhelming for the $50 price point. While the Italian sausage was a welcome addition in theory, it ultimately had little impact on the overall flavour of the dish. At this price, I expected a more generous serve and a stronger contribution from the sausage to elevate the meal further.nnA good dish with solid elements, but one that doesn’t quite justify its premium price tag.nn7/10nnCheck out PhonzyB Reviews on TikTok !!
I went there twice on my holiday in Adelaide The best Italian pasta outside of Italy….The best cheese wheel pasta I had in my life… the pasta with granchio it’s delicious too .nThe owner Federico and his staff are very kind and professional people and he’s dishes are amazing definitely I will go back again…. Highly recommended after you try it you will go back for sure. make sure you book before very busy on the weekend.
