Global Fine Food, established in 1979, is a family owned deli cafe servicing Ashgrove locals and surrounding suburbs with delicious gourmet food and great Merlo coffee!

Story

Global Fine Food, located in the Ashgrove Village Shopping Centre, has been providing locals with all their culinary needs since 1979.

Regarded as a true ‘Deli Café,’ it combines all the traditional deli lines, together with a modern café menu serving light lunches and great Merlo coffee.

Its specialty would undoubtedly be the leg ham carved off the bone while you wait. The traditionally smoked legs of ham are expertly carved and popular all year round.

Global Fine Food has an extensive product range from smallgoods, cheeses, and antipasto, to specialty coffees, teas, spices, chocolates and more.

Global Fine Food also has a wide range of gluten free products - from breads, cakes and pastries to sausages and take-home meals.

Catering for corporate lunches and dinner parties adds yet another string to Global Fine Food’s bow.

Absolutely first class food: from the roast pork at Christmas to the pea and ham soup in winter. Sometimes, it is a bit of a wait, but that is because this deli is so popular. And the food is always worth waiting for. Trent and his hard-working team are always keen to make their customers happy.

Dreadful, arrogant, disinterested service. If you’re looking for a coffee shop with over-priced food and staff who seem inconvenienced by your presence, then Global Fine Food in Ashgrove is the place for you. However, if you’re looking for good value and good customer service, you may want to go elsewhere.
The best ham of the bone French stick salad roll I've tasted so far, refer Trent who delivers a great customer service that makes you feel like coming back for more, Thankyou Trent!
Ordered a couple of sandwiches but the choice of bread was very limited, and I was told it was that or nothing, despite there being a bakery literally 2 doors down. Sandwiches are reasonably tasty, but after paying $12+ each, and enduring the glacial pace 10 minutes, no other customers waiting at which they were prepared, it wasn't a satisfying experience. Won't be hurrying back.
Friendly staff, amazing selection of foods and their sandwich bar is great! Trent always confirms what he has in stock before placing an order to ensure I get want I want. Would always recommend!

My family have been regular customers of Global since the 80's, and not one have we ever experienced poor customer service, in fact it's always been exceptional service! I popped in at 5:30 pm and requested some sliced ham. The young lad huffed and puffed, stomping his feet to get a chopping board. When he returned he slammed the chopping board down and I mentioned my thanks for his efforts as I could see he already packed up his ham cutting equipment. His reply was a blunt yes. He offered no smile and no thanks. I paid and I left. After 30 years of going to Global, that will be my last time. Word of advice to the young lad who I think is the 3rd generation owner. People like me are your bread and butter. We may not make the largest purchases but we come back again and again If you give us a smile. We are local, we know other locals and talk about stores like yours. We we're young once too and your grandfather used to give us a piece of ham while our parents shopped.
My favourite for great coffee, fresh sandwiches, cakes and slices etc. Great service from friendly staff too. Been going there since 2007. Family owned business. Highly recommended!
As a typical fussy American that I am, quality goods & standard of service are very important. This deli is one of the best I've seen in Brisbane for over 30 yrs living here! Keep up the great work guy's! Merry Christmas. Derrick Wilson
