Went here in 2018 for Year 6 only but my overall experience was overall negative.nnMy teacher there had clear favourites and made it obvious by consistently choosing to use certain students as examples for excellent work/commending them on their behaviour. Besides this, this teacher was quite rude and would get annoyed at the smallest things such as clarifying the class tasks so I can fully understand and complete them properly. One time I tapped her on the shoulder and her response was dramatically exclaiming 'Don't tap me I'm not a dog!'. Another time I switched locker sincenI didn't want to be beneath someone else's locker and other lockers were literally unoccupied but this teacher threw a fit for absolutely no reason all this despite me being a new student to the school. I am convinced this is not just a one off as there was another new student that stayed for a period of time at the school in my class and the teacher was also rude to them such as always criticizing their actions as they were a bit lacking in self-confidence which is truly appalling.nnOn top of this, there was a major problem with bullying/harassment at this school. A very rude student that was part of my class started literally pulling down students' pants in our year level and he faced no consequence which is simply absurd. Outside of our class he did this to my friend while he was drinking at the water fountains and this was done to me when I was walking out of my class' building. This was extremely embarrassing and at this point in my life I didn't have much self-confidence so this was even harder for me. Upon the teacher learning about this all she did was make them apologise, THAT'S IT, no contact of parents to discuss this disgusting behaviour, no form of consequence. Extremely sickening that students of my class had to deal with this nonsense! I also remember playing basketball and having to deal with the bully group of this particular student which we played against since we were forced to since we had the only basketball and then this turned into a fight. My friend and I had to run to our class to avoid a particular student of this group from chasing us and bullying us. It was extremely mentally disturbing.nnDespite all this I had two real friends at this school that I really enjoyed spending time with so between facing all the nonsense from bullies and my own teacher, that time was enjoyable. I believe the school has now made some major improvements in terms of building a new gym and classrooms I think so hopefully that supports students in the future. Overall my experience was negative at this school but perhaps the way things run at this school have changed.
Has a terrific indoor gymnasium. Great outdoor synthetic pitches for sport.
went here for 6 years +kinder and i have made so many fun memories. The education here top notch. if you want to send your kids here, do it. it’s the best school ever, there’s so many facilities now and more classrooms.
As a member of Grade 6 in 2022, I have to admit, this is one of the best schools I’ve been to. The teachers are nice, the students are some were funny or annoying for funny. But for sure there was a teacher that she will great so angry ever if someone will cough or sneeze or bother , you will get three strict then she will make you go to the office that ,that thing did not happen to me that is good and that was not to nice but that's ok to sum it all up great school best school my memories then ever go. Now I'm in year 7 :nn- And I will not forgot one of the best teacher/ helpernMrs. Nola:nn- If you would like to go to the best school go to this one here Glenroy West Primary School.nn- H.R
