The car park is nothing but a deceptive cash grab. Having 3 park spaces for staff of fair, what’s unfair is the fact that the signs displaying the need for a permit is about 8 feet high, with no marking on the ground. If they actually cared about people not parking they should have it marked on the ground, not hidden high which gets difficult to see in the afternoon due to the shade of the trees. 100$ later for the fine, regardless of being new to the area and contesting it, they don’t care, they want your money. I’m now noticing parking fines everyday now in this “permit area”, and frankly the library staff should be ashamed for not advocating to council to have clearer markings. Greedy council.
I attended the Glenorchy Library on Wednesday for some one-on- one IT help. The volunteer assistant Phillipa was very helpful and I would recommend her for future library visits.
Small library, clean and tidy and limited off street parking. Staff seem to be helpful but no really knowledgable.nnThe library is located opposite to shopping centre and close to other amenities.
Its a good place I can take my kids there and they will just read or go on the computer and I can relax
This must be one of the best libraries in the world. This is not because there are a lot of books but because of the great systems, facilities, and staff.nOn top of all that the ambiance is conducive to research and learning or simple, quiet recreational reading. Our state library system makes learning for free available to us all. Even if someone cannot read help can be provided to overcome this drawback.
