Living on campus Glenn in particular was one of the best decisions I have ever made, there’s a great community of people living and working here who are really welcoming and lovely, would highly recommend!
If u value ur sleep don’t rent on campus accomodation at Latrobe especially the chisholm college. Towers are next to each other and Students blast hindi music full volume until 12:00 or 1:00 at night, engage in loud coversation and shouting until morning. I haven’t had any decent sleep for about a semester now I have complaint many times but still no resolution. And the downside is that even with many problems if u wanna move out u can’t until the contract end date otherwise u will have to pay 2 weeks rent extra plus $1000 bond. So i guess I will have to stay here for the rest of semester risking my sleep and mental health.
If you like burning money you should live here. The La Trobe accommodation staff do not care about your wellbeing and will take a long time to fix any issues you have. I Highly recommend finding a place to live off campus.
Glenn college was one of the best decision I made while studing full time at La Trobe. The community is very connected and I highly reccommend the catering option. I was also a student leader which was very fulfiling.
Love living in Glenn, great culture, good people overall good vibes.
