Absolute life saver and great care!!!nMy mother in-law sustained a deep cut in her index finger. The bleeding did not stop, so had to go somewhere for some sutures. Initially thought of ED, but we would have waited for long hours as it was not emergency enough. Rang.few.GP clinics, but expectedly, all booked out for the day. Thankfully one admin staff at a GP clinic directed us to this place.nLuckily there was no one when we got there. A nurse saw my mother in law with a roughly bandaged finger and immediately attended to her with great TLC!!! She was a true STAR with her great care and manner towards her patient. Even the doctor.who came to see my MIL was immensely kind, gentle and caring. My MIL can not speak English, so I helped out with communication. They made sure she was comfortable and so attentive to her response and comments at every step of the way. Even when my MIL made a little.comment in her mother tongue during the suturing, they asked me what she said to understand how she was feeling , responded and included her in the conversation, not just task-focused which gave me the feeling of good patient-centred care.nWe left the clinic within an hour with a smile on our face and were not late for the school pick up ^^nWe can not thank you both nurse and Dr enough for the care we received today!True GEM in the region
Walked in with a wound on my head and was happy to find that they weren't busy, so walked straight in, had a nurse triage the wound and prep for the doctor.nnThe doctor took a look, decided that stitches weren't required, opting to use super glue instead. I'm not bothered by such a decision, however, the use of the glue was not done at all with any care and I ended up with it dripped all down my scalp creating chunks of brittle hair that will have to be cut away.nnI have had to book my hairdresser tidy it up. Frankly I would frankly have preferred stitches.
Had a lovely experience here yesterday when I brought my 12 year old with a scald burn. The nurse and the doctor were absolutely lovely and we were seen very quickly.nI would not hesitate to return to this centre.nThanks for the great service!
My 12 month old was showing signs of laboured breathing and wheezing so I made an appointment here to get him checked out for a quick assessment. Our regular GP was fully booked out and couldn’t fit him in and I knew his case wasn’t severe enough for emergency yet so I figured a PPCC would be the next best thing. Received a phone call shortly after booking my appointment to say that they weren’t “equipped” with the tools to assess his case based on his symptoms and that I should take him straight to ER, and then cancelled my appointment. Disappointing experience. I ended up having a virtual ED appointment instead, saved myself several hours of waiting in an ER for a mild case and got the advice and scripts I was looking for.
Thankyou so much. Your doctor , nurse and reception have been so good. I cut my finger very severely on a newly sharpened kitchen knife which slipped off whilst attempting to cut an avocado. 4 stitches later and such excellent kind care I realised my good fortune to come to GWPPCC.nYou are wonderful and I’m so grateful.
