Stop into Glen Innes for some morning tea and went to the Glen bakery as you can see by the photos cakes and match sticks are yum oh but the best is their meat pies l had two with tomato sauce and my husband had the chicken mornay Staff are exceptional and very attentive we will definitely be back Yum yum
Excellent baking and truly fabulous staff. Great meat pies and apple cinnamon pull apart. Everything else looked delicious as well. A delightful old school bakery. Long may they prosper.
Called in for a morning coffee. Not much available for breakfast snacks, but it is a pie shop. The pie I had was hot & flaky. Messy. But very tasty.
So glad we decided to stop in on way back to Queensland. We popped in 2 days before hand just before closing but they were sold out of most items. Now we know why. We bought a steak pie, vegetable sausage roll, cream bun and caramel slice. All where like going back to our 1970s childhood bakery. Flakey buttery pastry, not too sweet mock cream and thin chocolate and biscuit base on caramel slice so you can actually taste the creamy caramel filling. Will be our stop in whenever we are passing through Glen Innes.
As usual fantastic service and great food!
Great spot for a pie cake bread or fresh sandwich for lunch.
