Arrived early for an open mic night at the place next door but the place next door called the poetry jam off at the eleventh hour and I was left stranded in Glebe, which isn't such a bad thing. So, walked into the open and welcomly so Gleebooks. Plenty of good service, plenty of enthusiasm for what is, sadly, not what it used to be. Bookstores were such amazing places pre internet but now they are fewer and further between. Still, there were some beautiful things here ... Books of art as thick as your wrist, wider and clad in plastic. Printed on high GSM. Almost bought the magnificent edition of Francis Bacons work and found a lovely section on Australian poetry. You cannot browse Gleebooks without going upstairs. This for me at least is where bookstore becomes emporium. Mr Magorium?
I can get lost in books in the best way here. But, if I’m in a hurry I can just check in at the desk and they’ll help me with a quick purchase. Children’s books are terrific. Staff in all areas are knowledgeable and will scour the net to find for you. Still great at meeting the needs of academics too. Really nice accepting people.
Gleebooks has been around for very long time and that is because they are an excellent book store. I thank them for their brilliant selection of books, their knowledgeable book reviews and their ultra fast delivery.
Impossible not to find a much wanted book in this wonderful store. A very decent section on philosophy.
nice bookstore in glebe, nestled among a couple lovely cafes. they have a very large range of books, and an awesome range of gorgeous, albeit expensive, cards from the national history museum. if you're willing to spend a couple dollars extra for a $5.50, some of the cards here are stunning. they stock heaps of great and empowering children's books too.
Well classified books-e.g. Australian literature, science fiction, cook books, etc.- sorted alphabetically. It was quite easy to find books which I was looking for and there were some recommendations and reviews so that I could find some new interesting books! I liked this clean, tidy and full of knowledge place.
Attended book launch of Greg Woodland's new mystery murder thriller. It was an enlightening experience.
Cute little place with new as well a second hand books. Wonderful collection and super friendly people at the store!

Cute book store with lots of character and wonderful, helpful staff. I also love that they write handwritten recommendation notes for books along their book shelves- such a nice touch!
