I’ve stayed at the Backpackers twice now as a solo traveller and feel like it’s safe I came back the second time just to see the friends I made there!. The shared facilities are cleaned once a day and staff are friendly and helpful. I would say that you shouldn’t expect the nicest room or bathroom you’ve ever used, but the social vibes are unmatched; it was a great place to make friends. The hostel experience is all about talking to the volunteers, staff, and other guests, so, like most things in life, you get what you give !
I recently stayed at Gladstone Backpackers, and I have to say it was a fantastic experience! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, and I loved the cozy common areas where I could relax and meet other travelers. The location was perfect, close to shops and restaurants, making it easy to explore the area. Overall, I highly recommend Gladstone Backpackers for anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay in Gladstone!
Stayed here twice, and both times, it left a lot to be desired. With no AC or a fan, I was melting in the queensland heat. Also, the pool is never cleaned, so jumping in will risk herpies or another venerial disease I would avoid and go to the hotels across the road a bit more but worth it.
beautiful place and amazing staff, really friendly and helpful!!nBryn is the best host ever, don’t leave this place without talking to him, he’s really nice, and if you do play guitar, invite him for a jam, he’s really good!nand the beers are really good, the happy hour from 5 to 7 comes really handy
A quirky beauty with charm!! That ill forever hold in my heart i spent 5 days here including Xmas. That being one of the best Xmas's to date! i didnt want to leave. Due to flooding i had to make a short notice late bookin12am and couldn't have been met with more friendlier accommodating staff the people here are what makes this place which i can only assume is a by product of the owners generosity. Overwhelmed by the kindness and the genuine thoughtfulness of the staff and locals i met i would stay here a million times over than a 5 star hotel!! best pizzas, best xmas, best vibes, best laughs GB you guys rock!! Thank you and a big shout out to Bryn Jack Jasmin Aroura Noah Rio and Roxanne if your reading this review and get the chance to meet these beautiful souls please do you wont regret it xxx
