The market wasn’t as big as I expected—managed to see all the stalls in about 15 minutes. One thing I found unusual was the signage saying no dogs allowed, yet there were dogs everywhere. Bit confusing, but overall a quick browse if you’re in the area.
Basic market fancy made stuff said no dogs but dogs everywhere prams and people standing in the middle its not for those who dont want the budging feet stood on etc. Food lines ridiculously long i won't be back didn't buy a thing or find anything interesting..not worth the drive for out of towners..
I have been going to this market for a very long time. The best chicken curry puffs highly recommended, best bacon n egg roll close to toilet/footy field entrance, and I buy my eggs from Phil's Conifers.nThe market has become more expensive over the years; and pay attention to where you park. Always lovely to visit Gisborne and see the beautiful birds, pine cone and chestnut trees.
One of our favourite Sunday markets. Always buzzing with people, great selection of stall holders, a great way to start the morning, especially on a cold day with a warm coffee, egg and bacon roll, and some baked sweets.
Excellent market, lots of great produce, hot foods, arts and crafts. I always get organic honey from every market I go to. Go early, opens at 9 to beat the crowds and ease of parking.
