Wet good food and atmosphere though I must say it’s in the pricey side… the portion size was good though, the teriyaki beef salad really surpassed our expectations
The place smelt great from the moment you walk in, you know the woodfire pizzas mean business!nnThe staff were friendly and attentive.nnThe food was scrumptious.nnHighly recommend anytime you're up in Gisborne.
Amazing pizza, ambiance is pretty good too. Nice and cozy. Service was smooth. I just didn’t like the Japanese fried chicken- tasted a lil stale and bland. Give it a go if you’re around.
The fact that there was woodfire pizza made us stop to this place. Friendly atmosphere, the glasses they brought us our deflated cokes were slightly dirty. When the pizza came to our table - the peperoni was a bit weird, so we ordered a margarita... in case it was the salami.. not sure what the issue with the sauce was but it had an odd powerful smell and it tasted very weird and looked bright red like watered down? Can't explain. Their burgers were great though!!
Can’t say I’ve eaten a bad meal at The Gisborne Collective since being a patron for the last 18 months.nFrom ever reliable wood fired pizzas with fresh ingredients to the strong list of main favourites.nThe menu remains reasonably within standards but the specials bring quite a bit of flare for those a bit more adventurous.nThe twice cooked pork belly is amazing, offset with a crunchy kale-slaw and a perfectly matched dressing.nLamb ragout and fettuccine is a winner.nThe pan seared barramundi with a cheeky red curry spaghetti also a highlight. Beef cheek gnocchi is another special to watch for.nEven the perfect location to drop in for a lovely coffee during the day.nGreat attentive staff, well priced drinks, and a lovely atmosphere that caters for an intimate table for 2 or a family gathering of 20 plus.nHome delivery is so good as well. The meals arrive perfectly packed, hot, and well separated.
