"Picnic by the creek and enjoy a stroll with the family through springtime wildflowers or set off an adventurous day hike or mountain bike ride. Enjoy family-friendly short walks with an easy meander along the water-sculpted rocks of Underground Creek track or ramble beside Bald Rock Creek to the amazing Granite Arch. Challenge yourself and rock-hop or climb your way up to one of Girraween's signature peaks, such as Castle Rock or The Pyramid, which reveal spectacular vistas stretching out across the park and further beyond. Camp under the stars at the shady Bald Rock Creek or Castle Rock camping areas, or relax with the family to enjoy a picnic lunch at the Bald Rock Creek day-use area."

Huge boulders and stunning rock formations. The pyramid is not for the faint hearted, well worth the scramble to the top for an experienced hiker, hiking boots strongly recommend. If you don't want to hike there are lots of lovely walks for most abilities. Don't forget to check out underground creek, worth the little drive from the main camping and day use area. Stop off at The chocolate shop for a treat on the way home, if chocolate is not your thing, pick up some onion jam, so yummy!
Big car park, toilets, gas bbq’s, grassy area for kids to roam and visitor centre. There is camping available across the road. The area itself is like a moon landscape with a creek that runs through it. Many walking tracks well signed. Lots of kangaroos and wildflowers. Easy short walk to Granite Arch.
Something for everyone. Giraween National Park has everything - walking trails, picnic areas, natural beauty, lookout points and what not. A great place to visit in Granite Belt region.
Absolutely breathtaking place, great camping and fantastic hiking. Bring a solar shower as there are no showers available, but there are amenities. Boil tap water before drinking.
Stunning national Park with several walk options, this is pics from the arch walk gentle short loop and the pyramid walk lots of stairs, some scrambling up and some butt slides down, the view from the top was just amazing!! Also some great bird life.
Great view and well maintenance camping sites. The toilet is clean and very maintenance. No bin in the day use area, please bring your garbage with you home. Went for a short walk to Granite arch and the pyramid, it is beautiful and definitely worth it.
Stopped here along our travels to stretch our legs so we went for one of the smaller walking tracks. Wyberba walking trail Explorer and botanist Allan Cunningham led the first European expedition into the Wyberba area on Tuesday 26th June 1827. Cunningham's party found their way to a high spot in the north eastern section of the present day Girraween only to be confronted with what seemed like a endless barrier of ridges. Vast sculptured granite landscape with craggy outcrops, huge rounded boulders poised aloft, colourful slabs and giant stone arches with meandering waterways lined with plant life that in spring bursts with flamboyant wildflowers is how it's described in the billboards and I must say that it was absolutely amazing seeing the wonderful landscape and waterways along the small trail we followed plus there were plenty of interesting billboards located around the grounds. The information centre was closed when we visited but there was plenty of picnic tables, toilets and benches around the parking area.
One of our favourite National Parks in Australia! There are various walks and open spaces that even during peak times it doesn’t feel crowded. Great campgrounds, lots of adorable kangaroos, beautiful sights and lovely wildflowers in Spring. Follow along on our adventures around Australia @sambolomio
One of my favourite national parks. Incredible flora especially in spring, but honestly also year round. Information centre has heaps of flora books and information. Great variety of walks too. My favourite flora walks are: The Junction, Granite Arch, The Pyramid pictured. I have also done The spinx, turtle rock, Castle rock & Mt Norman. These are also great for someone who enjoys a longer walk, but for views the Pyramid is unbeatable. Always wallabies around, especially in the early am & evening. Nearby National Parks, Bald Rock & Boonoo Boonoo are some of my other favourites! Enjoy and stay safe. I shaare these photos on my instagram @mrplant.identifier.
Finally, we are in the Granite Belt region. Girraween Nation Park is beautiful and has many walks for all levels of walker. A lot of bushwalking and camping. A visitor centre is a nice setup.
