Great venue for birthday parties, special events. The upstairs function room is not too big - perfect for 40-60 people with private bar, flexible layout and balcony access. The finger food was exceptional, tasty and fresh, not the usual packet deep fried fare we know too well. The management and staff were super helpful in setting up and throughout the evening which wrapped up about 1am. And no morning after cleaning! If you're.up for $70-$90pp all inc, you and your friends can have yourself a pretty good time and a bunch of hangovers. Morning after brekky not included.
Environment was warm and inviting. The service was pleasant, however we never got any. We had booked a specific table to suit our needs but it was not reserved, thankfully still available. It took 20 minutes from ordering to get a starter satay chicken stack for two which was tough, dry, and stringy. A further 25 minutes for our mains, which was very substandard pork belly and papaya prawn salad, we can only describe them as flavourless and rubbery. Not once did anyone come back to us, we had to get our own drinks throughout the evening. The bar service was good, good range, and well laid out, we would go there again, but not to eat.
Beautiful interior and very intimate, with impressive cocktails. Only downfall, and a big loss for the venue in my opinion was the music. So much was lost with the commercial poppy dance music. Did not match the vibe in anyway. Otherwise very cozy and comfortable. Will return.
Decor and atmosphere are a bit bland. Service can be improved. If you are serving a customer in front if you why go off and do 7 other things and leave me waiting for my beer. Not even busy at the time. Would have been quicker for me to go to pub across road and get my drink there.
Dining at Ginger Annie was a wonderful experience. The staff were very helpful with their suggestions. The food was exceptional and the drinks menu ranges from craft beers to an extensive wine list. I suggest Ginger Annie for a couple of casual drinks in the bar and then dining on a wide selection of modern Asian dishes like soft shell crab! YUM!
A good choice of Asian fusion nibbles and sharing plates to support a solid wine list and one or two decent beers on the menu. The Massaman curry with roti was a good choice. All this place needs now is a decent crowd, it was very quiet for a Saturday evening.
Beyond disappointed in this place. The service was average at best and there were a number of mistakes made with the cooking of the dishes we ordered to say nothing of the mistakes made by the wait staff. When the mistakes were bought to the attention of the staff we were met with blank stares, no apology and a bill that offered no discount for the countless and I truly mean countless mistakes made. My dining friends one of which originally recommended the place have said they will never return and while I generally give places a second chance I'm not sure I will either. If you want good Asian go to an ACTUAL Asian restaurant and not one that runs out of roti bread that is NOT home made anyway and can't keep up with rice orders.
Very nice thai food and nice interiror design. Bit of a squish for larger groups, recommended for small families or couples. If you're not a fan of chilli or spice there are a few meals suitable as well.
