Pretty good Asian restaurant in north Adelaide. Friday night was packed. Food was nice, prices were a bit fancy though. Food didn’t take too long to come out and service is okay. Very cozy vibe with great energy with the music.Food: 4/5
The first time we made a booking for 4, we were disappointed because their app doesn't allow us to edit our booking. Our friend's wife was sick, so we needed to cancel our booking, but their app did not allow us to have a refund for our $80 deposit. We tried to ring the number provided in Google. but we only got a recorded message. We rang the phone number 8x but finally gave up, and decided to go there to have our dinner for 2. My partner explained his frustration with their app. A young man apologised and sat us to get our order. He was very attentive, helpful, and ready to give advice on what to order. We both ordered the slow cooked pork belly. This was delicious, and the pork belly melted in our mouth. After a week, we came back with our friends, and the same young man was attentive and helpful. He even remembered that my partner is diabetic and, therefore, needs to be careful not to have his deserts. I was extremely impressed that he remembered every detail of our conversation from the previous visit. We ordered a slow cooked pork belly, curried duck, and fried barramundi for our Mains. We had prawn dumplings and salt and pepper eggplant for our appetiser. The food was delicious, the service was efficient, and we had a wonderful night. The price range is very affordable and definitely value for money. I highly recommend them!!!
Excellent Thai restaurant in North Adelaide. Starters were a little unexpected but still tasty. Satay sauce was less sweet that usual and the same and pepper eggplant chunks were so large that the insides weren't perfectly cooked. But the mains earned the 5* rating. Duck lychee curry, not too spicy, was amazing and combined with the coconut rice that comes in a half coconut it's exceptional. The Pad Thai is classic and plentiful. They were happy to accommodate for no onion and no coriander. Prices $12 to $16 for most starters and $24 to $30 for most mains.
I just left Gin Long after my birthday dinner and just wow !! Amazing food, service and atmosphere. Very impressed by the staff who sang happy birthday and gave a complimentary cake! Thank you for making my dinner special, such brilliant team and wonderful effort Food: 5/5
I’m surprised I haven’t tried this place sooner because every single dish we ordered was well seasoned! We ordered: - Chilli lime corn ribs - Dragon beef curry - Wok tossed pepper wagyu highly recommend! - Chop suey chinese cabbage - Mango sticky rice Service and vibes were great. Would come back to try other dishes and would highly recommend giving this place a shot!!
I have no idea why I have not tried or even bother coming here earlier. The food is phenomenal. Insanely delicious. Every single mouth and bite is a whole lot of goodness in my mouth. I was drooling while eating. It is that good. No wonder they have good ratings. The flavours is just right. I’m saying, what is there more or less you need? You don’t. It’s perfect. Great portions for what you pay. It’s a really decent amount. All the dishes we ordered was cleaned up so good. I don’t think any of us had a bad opinion on it. Wow just wow. As if I haven’t gone back already after leaving this review. Please look at the photos on how attractive it all looks. Customer service was really nice, good food came out so quickly considering how busy they were! Although, I must say, the spacing is pretty decent, I do think layout could be a bit better in some sense. Spacious though, just needs a tad more something. Like the vibe and atmosphere. Good display, artwork, you feel very homey. Truly a good authentic and mixed fusion cuisine place to experience. Of course location is at a good spot with plenty of parking space also where you can find. Better be quick though Children friendly, not sure about pram space, depending where they allocate you but definitely worth it. What an absolutely yummy place to enjoy with good company!
The drink I had was a special; Pina-Coco and it was really really good! However the dessert we had Ice Cream sandwich something was nothing special, it’s too sweet. Other than that, the food was good!Food: 5/5
Gin Long Canteen was the desired location for a birthday occasion and booking online was easy. Parking can be a little difficult anywhere near O'Connell Street so you must be wary of the signs and add a few minutes to walk. The venue was well decorated and service was excellent. We enjoyed a couple of very tasty cocktails as well as a selection of shared sides. We made some adventurous selections to try some new flavours and were suitably impressed - it would be easy to over eat here as a result! This is a recommended dining experience.
First thing first, I need to applause for their great service, staffs were friendly and served with smile. The environment is nice and fancy, not too noisy and the music was at the acceptable volume. Food was delicious, have to say that we love the lamb ribs! It was really tasty and tender, a mixed of sourly and sweet. The roast pork and green beans was good too. However, the fried barramundi was just Okay, lacking some tastes. But overall great experience.
