Genuinely a great place for arvo/casual/night drinks. Staff are more then friendly. The menu looks very extensive and pretty well priced. While a pint of Guinness goes down a treat at this place there are also a good selection of other beers.Recommended dishesPint of Guinness

Great service. Great beer. Never had a Red Ale before… but hey! When in Rome right? Well when in Brisbane at an Irish pub rather. And for 8.50 pints can’t go wrong.  John was great. And 1:30 on sundays they have live folk music. Worth a stop in if you have a spare hour

Awesome pub food at Gilhooleys Irish Pub right in the heart of Brisbane CBD. I got in for lunch twice and dinner another time on a recent visit to Brisbane. I highly recommend the steak sandwich and the beef and bacon Cheeseburger. I also had the beef and Guiness pie which was very tasty top.Food: 5/5

I’m a meat lover. It’s the very first time I feel lucky that the portion is small so I don’t have to waste it. What I order is medium rare, feel sad about the cows sacrifice. The service is good which swap my dish and recook it. THE PIC IS AFTER RECOOK, which is obviously not even reach the threshold. Com-on chef, I know you can be better than this.

Decent food, spacious. Friendly and prompt service. We went at 430pm on a Saturday, craving for fish and chips-Great chips, the fish however felt more like the frozen food sort of fish.

Great pub grub. Had the Rump steak and coleslaw. The coleslaw is nice and creamy. Good experience overall, staff appeared friendly. Thank youFood: 5/5

This is my most favourite place to visit in Brisbane. The atmosphere is beyond welcoming. I travel alone and always find myself a new somebody to talk to whenever I am having a Guinness at Gilhooleys.Food: 5/5
