What a gem this place is!! A friend invited us over to the South Melbourne Markets and asked us to meet her at Giddiup. As soon as we got there, it was noticeable how quirky this place was - from its gorgeous interior to its great staff. Coffees arrived very promptly and were very strong - absolutely loved them. All three dishes were served at the same time. Not only that the presentation was on point, but they all packed so much flavour. I rarely go for vegetarian breakfasts, but my avocado and quinoa were so full of flavour and very filling. I loved every single bite and I just can't wait to go back to try something different. Definitely highly recommended on a warm Sunday morning before you hit the Market.
Visited for a Saturday morning breakfast. First and most important, coffee was good without being great. We had the Chilli Eggs, very tasty and generous serve, and the pork burger, real winner with another generous size and great taste. Only negative was the tables and chairs are a little pockie, even for my wife, and she aint big.
This is a nice little cozy cafe with excellent coffee and food served by very friendly staff! We came in for a light lunch and the sandwich we had was amazingly yum! This is probably a very popular place with people as there was very little food left by 1pm. We also got the brownie which was also too yum! Coffee does not need any rating as it was excellently prepared! We loved the atmosphere and it will be one of our to go places when we're in the area! A must try for anyone!!
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Melbourne. We came to have brunch, so I had two amazing poached eggs on a slow cook pork and potatos. It had a mix of different flavours, which made it a rich taste. The service was absolutely nice, good vibes environment. The coffee was also richness in flavour. This place is located next to a home decoration retail store, which is another access to the café. Really cozy place to relax on a sunday morning or afternoon.
Simple breakfast menu with great coffee. Highlights include the cheesy mushrooms and eggs Benedict served on a fresh crunchy sourdough. Can be a little tight in seating spaces
DO: The toastie. We travel over 30mins to eat this bad boy. Soooo good. DONT: Come on a Sunday. They're closed. TIP: Dont despair. The same people also own Wynyard across the road with a similar menu and equally cute cafe
Update: menu isnt what it was before. The place certainly looks empty compared to before. Coffee was good but tge rest wasnt. Granola was average and stale. Have been here a few times and this will be the last. Very dissapointed specially after driveng 30 min to get here.
Had the chilli folded eggs and the anchovy toast. The anchovy was very good not fishy at all and well worth a try. The fact that it's incredibly healthy is a bonus.
This tiny place packs a punch. It was closed for a little while but found it open again a few days ago so gleefully took a seat and was not disappointed. Coffee was one of the best I have had in a long time. And the chilli scramble eggs were a delicious take on a ole staple. Glad to have you back old friend!
Quaint hole-in-the-wall café. Great coffee and prompt service. Food was beautifully presented although expect more of a 'quinoa/radish' experience than a 'big breakfast'. But then that's pretty much Coventry Street these days. Don't go there if you have big numbers in your group. Tables are more two..maybe 4 at a push
