Stopped here as we were riding our e-bikes. The staff were great , very helpful and friendly. We had the pizza and it was very tasty as well as the polenta chips. The kids had some nice games to play with and that meant we could relax and enjoy out time there.
Epic place and a great destination from cycling to from Arrowtown. Staff superb! Food delicious. Great selection of wine, music.
1 pizza 1 salad 3 wine glasses 112nzd, a bit up there but service was great, setting is beautiful and the bike path from Arrowtown to the winery/ tavern is great!
Went here for lunch today after experiencing a less than average welcoming from Gibbston Winery. Glad we carried on as what a difference. Service was amazing! Very attentive and the food came quick. Had the wood fired pizza and it was beautiful. Will definitely come back! Thanks guys. So nice to feel like you really appreciated us dining with you. Garden setting was also a treat. If you haven’t been I suggest you do!
We were looking for a kid friendly lunch destination and stumbled across Gibbston Tavern. We loved it! Kids had fun playing the games on the lawn and we enjoyed some great wine. Our kids are fussy but there were lots of options that they ate. Great experience. Would definitely come again!
Stopped in with a large family group after riding from Arrowtown. Great outdoor areas for family groups, activities for the kids outdoor snakes and ladders etc. Areas outside have good cover, and lovely outdoor heating and pizza oven area. High recommend the Dark and Grizzly on tap too for something different!
Chill place to have some good wine and hot wings. Bartender was friendly and approachable.
A GREAT stop from your e-bikes! Fantastic service, lots of outdoor seating come on a good weather day, and delicious wood fired pizza. Make sure to stop and say hi to Hank, the taverns dog and local security! ; I would highly recommend the chicken, Brie, and bacon pizza!
An interesting place to stop along the highway… has potential. Not very welcoming towards the tourist. Spent the afternoon watching a Staff member chasing kids off his beloved water sprinkler whilst enjoying our $17 bowl of hot chips. The fireworks in my underpants after the jalapeño poppers was the most excitement I got from this place, would of been better up north in Tutakākā camping in cyclone hale with our friends. Be better.
Great little place out of the way. Bonus points for a great pub dog named hank.
