There's a new chef in the kitchen at the General Store. After our first taste of his food, my wife and I will be coming back for sure. As my wife eats like a sparrow we sampled just 3 dishes from the menu. Fillet steak - perfectly cooked, well presented & delicious. Squid lightly  battered in a forgettable batter but the squid itself was tender & succulent. Creme Brulee was a mix of delicious creamy custard spoilt by an only just burnt topping. I know brulee is the French word for burnt but it's not meant to be taken that literally in this context.  Overall very good though and hopefully it will see an increase in patronage in the coming months.

Love the general store. The atmosphere is fantastic. The staff are lovely and the food is brilliant. Always a lovely time at the general.

Good service, lovely meal and not to busy.  Highly recommend this place.

My favorite place to share a beer with friends.
