Late night cravings on a saturday night, A short trip and i ended up at Gelato Messina in Malvern.nnThe fast moving line was longer than I thought it would be for a 10:30pm Drop to Gelato shop.nnTried the speciality Mango Pancake as well as Pistachio Praline and OMG, the rich flavour of mango and abundance of extra stuff with it is simply amazing.nTried another scoop of Pistachio Praline with bits and pieces of roasted Pistachio which took the OG flavour to a different level.nnThe location of the shop as well as ambiance is very warm, even with light colours. There is ample space to sit inside and outside if you are a small group.nFor bigger than 5 people groups it will be a bit hard to find spot to sit with the crowd in the space.nnWould i recommend - Definitely YesnWould i Return - Definitely YesnnTaste - 8/10nAmbiance - 7/10nCustomer Service - 9/10
Gelato Messina is without a doubt one of the best dessert spots I’ve ever visited. Every time I walk in, I’m greeted with a huge variety of flavors that are both creative and incredibly delicious. The gelato is made fresh, and you can really taste the quality in every scoop – creamy, rich, and perfectly balanced in sweetness. They have their signature classics that never disappoint, but what I love most are the rotating specials that always surprise me with unique combinations you can’t find anywhere else.nnThe location is convenient, and the shop always has a lively, welcoming vibe. Even when there’s a line which is often!, it moves quickly, and the staff are friendly, patient, and always willing to offer samples to help you decide. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, making it excellent value.nnWhether you’re a fan of chocolate, fruit-based flavors, or something more adventurous, Messina caters to everyone. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to visit again and again, and it never loses its charm. For me, it’s become a must-stop treat, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves top-notch gelato.
Another day, another Messina store to experience nnLove the aesthetic of this newer store in Malvern, the colours are so earthy & soothing!nnAs per usual we tried the specials & I settled for the Pop your Cherry & the Daddy chill, both flavours were rich in flavour with abundance of extra ingredients, my husband tried the strawberries & cream ~ it was too sweet, paired with the white chocolate salted caramel which he loved.nnThe girl serving wasn’t that welcoming or friendly, however she was working on her own & it was very busy!nnLoving the merch, I’d wear the tshirt that the staff wear

Conveniently located on Glenferrie Road, just a short walk from the Malvern tram depot — super easy to get to!nnMessina has an excellent reputation, and it definitely lives up to the hype. Tons of gelato flavors to choose from, and every one I tried was rich and delicious. The staff are friendly, smiley, and happy to help.nnIf you’re in the area, don’t miss this place. Highly recommended!
