Lots of great shows on here after the refurbishment. The bar has water for free, typical drink prices otherwise. Don't like the shared bathrooms though.
The Geelong Arts Centre is an excellent venue for concerts. It’s intimate, seats are comfortable and raised so no heads in front of you and a superb sound system. It’s intimate also has a nice cafe inside and lots of tables & chairs in the various foyers. I would definitely return for a concert or show
Welcoming staff accompanied by thoughtfully curated art pieces , striking a perfect balance between classical elegance and modern innovation. Whether you're drawn to timeless paintings or more experimental contemporary installations, there's something here for every art lover to appreciate.
A great place to see a show in Geelong. Whether it's a school musical, community theatre group or a big name comedian or music artist, there's always something to see. If only they didn't throw every different design style into the renovation, I'd give it 5 stars.
Tonight we went the playhouse to see Kasey Chambers. I had snapped something in my knee this week and landed in a wheelchair. Amy was delightful on the phone and moved us seats to allow me access to a seat. The floor manager when I got there found me even better seats near the stage with access for my wheelchair and the usher Samantha was amazing assisting me to my seat, bought my wine in from the bar. Dale was so lovely helping us all night. They truely made our experience tonight memorable. My only concern would be the disabled loo. The door was so heavy I couldn’t push it open and wheel the wheelchair inside myself someone had to help. Given people with a disability use this bathroom there should be an automatic door on this that swings open itself so they don’t have to struggle with the door and any mobility aid they may be using!!!
